The executives are prejudiced and they demean people, but then hold a potluck to appreciate people. Yes, we have to make our own food for appreciation events. There are some people who try to make it better but the leaders dont support that. It's sad to see the turnover. I am looking for a job for a while now. Aprendí a tener mas tolerancia conmigo misma y por supuesto de la mano para con las demás personas a mi alrededor. I was able to help put a lot while I was younger due to my grandmother being apart of it but despite that I loved every moment working with them, every event I helped with, every friend met along the way. They are truly an inspiration to the younger generations! Being able to help others. In my city, it had about 150 members who( whithout getting paid) did all kind of activities to help raise money for different cases. As a Lion we help with things like raising money to help the blind to see. we help our communities with things like giving scholarships to kids for college. Some communities may needs help with feeding the homeless or getting glasses for a senior that can afford to get them, or kids to find sight issues that if caught at an early age can be fixed, with a program called Kid Sight. There is no pay but what I get from this job is priceless and I will continue to volunteer with the Lions Clubs for many years to come.
