I really can't think of one good thing about this company or the people
|
It is shocking (to say the least) that this company is still around. The founders spend more time finding ways to write fake glassdoor reviews than they do anything else. They are emotional and straight up LIE to bring people on board. Nothing that they say is true. They brought on about 20 sales people a few years back and within ONE MONTH EVERYONE was gone. They promise remote work, lots of money, trips, growth, none of which end up being true. They will straight up out of the blue cut your salary in HALF via email to force you out of the company if you don't kiss their butts or if you disagree with them on anything. THEN they will fight you on unemployment because they genuinely don't care about you. They are constantly pivoting because nothing works while consistently burning through investors money. This company is nothing more than a joke and a waste of time.

The company culture is strong and leadership works hard to ensure each employee achieves their personal goals (even if that means they leave and find it somewhere else!). The executive team has a huge vision for impact (both commercial and societal). It's a wonderful, wonderful company!

For those not aligned with what it takes to create a once-in-a-lifetime company, the hard work, shifts in strategy, and 'bets' the company makes along the way can feel misplaced.

Management and company focus on continual learning, growth, and big wins. Company will pay for many events when it comes to personal growth.
Freedom to move where you want in the company as long as you take the initiative.
Open to listening to issues you bring to the management team. However, you need data to back up the major complaints to take the best action.
Good understanding of radical candor in situations that can become emotional or heated. Management and employees focus on what is best for the company.
Move fast in the market but do so only after "deep thinking" through problems that could arise. Things succeeded and failed, but that is all a part of the process.
Freedom to start a project and implement it without management approval as long as you can back it up with data and believe you are making a decision that benefits the company. If things don't work out, you can "ask for forgiveness" and defend why you took on the project.
Dogs are allowed at the office as long as they do not cause a lot of disruptions during the day.
Lots of places to eat at the circle for lunch.
Company-paid lunch if you take another employee and get to know them better.

Lots of meetings that did not conclude with a proper direction forward (this did improve near the end of my employment)
A few activities that make you feel like you are a kid in High School. For example, everyone rehearsing the company mission statement and strategy during company meetings.
No retirement options (at the time of my employment, this may have changed)
The orange circle is growing, but there were some issues with the homeless in the area.
Parking is tight, or at least until the new parking structure came in.

Continue to be transparent with the company to make sure everyone is on board with the direction. Even if things are bad, the teams can work together to find and test new ideas.
Don't burn out your best employees. Things will get stressful but remember to continue to promote a major focus on the big wins instead of just working longer hours. If an employee starts going down the work longer hours path, step in and make sure what is being worked on is the best use of the employee's time.
Keep moving forward and improving. It appears the company is growing quickly and we know how quickly this can change in a companies' culture. It is an exciting but scary time all in one. Keep up the good work overall!

-top notch management, who cares about you personally and professionally and will help you succeed in all facets of your life.
-company is growing fast and opportunities abound. The focus isn't on titles, its about working together to make buying and selling a home a truly delightful experience. By far the most egalitarian company I've been a part of.
-Benefits are great

Pace of work environment. As an Account Exec you do it all. Makes the day fly by. And it's a great product to sell. Run 6-10 half hour web demos a day and in some cases you truly are helping a prospect struggling to make it. That is rewarding.

Being a start up scaling at that pace was impressive but hard to cover all the bases when scaling that fast. What we see on the ground is not what you see from a 1000 ft view and vice versa.

Pretty cool to work at a place where c-level and founders care. See and talk to them regularly but one of the founders set time aside just to check in w me as a person one day because he knew I was struggling outsidrthe work environment. That is something that is rare, and will always stick w me and I hope as company grows the compassion stays.

The best exec team I have ever worked for; they are genuine, caring and you are not just a number. They expect hustle, dedication and grit. They back it up with great pay, a streamlined sales process, and a product that is really needed and is a no brainer for our prospects. Its a super short sales cycle, each rep is closing 2-10 deals a day! That doesn't happen in most orgs, and its because they have removed the bureaucracy from the sales operations process, are smart about who we are selling too, and we can just jump in and sell (not spending half our day searching for something to sell too). This is a people first organization and I love it.
