-inconsistent/random rules enforced that management didn't follow themselves
-mistreated my dog when pets were allowed in office

Great first startup experience
|

This is the first startup I've worked for and the experience has been great so far. Before this I heard a lot about what a startup is, isn't and should/shouldn't be but actually being in one is a totally different experience. I'm surrounded by really smart and talented people. Management is super focused and driven and cares about each person here. Everyone that works here is really cool, nice and truly cares about the mission. Coming from a big real estate company before this, it's a real breath of fresh air.

Great place to grow

There are lots of smart people on the engineering and product teams. The culture is really strong and a very work hard play hard feel. The work itself is very fulfilling and there are tons of opportunities to grow and take on more responsibility as you go on. Management is very transparent and the vision for the company is well outlined and shared with monthly retrospectives on the company as a whole.

There's really no cons here unless you're the type of person that joins a company just for the startup perks. There are cool perks at Lootsie but not insane stuff like you see in other companies - so no dice if that's what you're looking for.
