However, LC removed that benefit once I left. With the level of job responsibility it required, I believe this may have been a mistake. The administration is controlling, micromanaging, vindictive, and inept. Faculty and staff are notoriously underpaid and overworked. Employees are expected to work beyond 8-5 Monday - Friday hours. There is no job security, job turnover is high and has been for years, no opportunities for advancement, no raises. The administration tracks employee's social media and will try and fire individuals over anything outside their opinion of appropriate Christian behavior. The workplace environment is flat out toxic and full of anxiety. Run run run if you even think about working here. They actively attempt to sabotage any faculty member’s professional development out of fear of losing them to a better school (a continually self-fulfilling prophecy in terms of retention). Many in the admin, including the president, are petty and vindictive while making appearances as spiritual and godly. Wouldn’t want my worst enemy to be on faculty at this school, and hope the trustees and the administration can get a total reset in the near future, for the sake of the faculty and students.
