They need to train managers how to manage people. private:lrppublications https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=117210 Apr 24th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open LRP Media Group Sales Manager Palm Beach Gardens, FL Would Not Recommend There are some smart and genuinely good people working at this company, including some management My complaints will make me easy to recognize for the company, but between the age of management and an incestuous C-Suite, things are not good there. All resource requests were denied for the entirety of my employment, including manager-directed requests that required multiple days of preparation. No training process whatsoever for salespersons and everything runs on obsolete software. CMO is the CEO's wife so the marketing program is outstandingly terrible and it was made clear that nothing will ever be done about it for obvious reasons. The average age of anyone with power in the company is probably close to 60. The company does not perform market research as a a policy. They pay as little as they can, and I still haven't received commissions from my time there. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 8.0 1.0 4.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 117210 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 1.0 Mar 18th, 2021 10:24PM Mar 18th, 2021 10:24PM LRP Publications
private:lrppublications https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=117210 Dec 26th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open LRP Media Group Consultant United States USA As a last resort... Heat in the winter and AC in the summer. The bathrooms are pretty clean. Over promise and under deliver. Ancient one-of-a-kind CRM tool. It's DOS based! Must take an hour lunch. You can't NOT take lunch and leave early. Crap health-care plan (that employees help pay for.) No $ paid on renewals. No raises - not even COL. Management is non-supportive. Salaried employees have to make up time missed. If you attend a conference over a weekend, there's no personal time added back. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL -1.0 DISAPPROVE 5.0 2.0 5.0 2.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 117210 Open Stop making promises you don't/can't keep. private:lrppublications https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=117210 Dec 4th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open LRP Media Group Strategic Risk Manager / Investment Executive West Palm Beach, FL Upper management does not care about anyone below them. Friendly coworkers. Casual dress code. Some travel involved. The company is run by a CEO who does not care about anyone who is not part of his inner circle. If you are not part of the inner circle of "untouchables" you are treated as a disposable pawn and they won't think twice about cutting you loose after 20+ years of dedication to the company. (Meanwhile, they'll wine and dine potential top level employees with lavish dinners and flights on private jets). Upper management is out of touch with the daily activities of their employees as they are too busy traveling to meet with customers or to attend other conferences. You will have one job title but do the work of three other roles and if you're lucky you'll get a 2% raise every 4 years. Workloads are not spread out evenly. If you show that you are competent at your job you'll be given the work of the other "less competent" employees. Again, do not expect any kind of compensation for taking on the extra work. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 10.0 2.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 117210 Open Consider giving raises every once in a while. private:lrppublications https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=117210 Oct 10th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open LRP Media Group United States USA Management will read this, yet they won't change... Casual dress; friendly co-workers; paid on time Overworked employees; management is a boys club that shows unwavering loyalty to the ceo; direct bosses do little to support employees and bully their employees; antiquated technology and work processes make the job unnecessarily difficult; no collaboration (feedback is only welcome when it aligns with middle managements vision); handbook is decades old (that includes, among other things, a very sexist dress code and a limited T&E policy), yet no one follows it - ironic since they have a HR publication; HR gossips and doesn't provide anonymity when complaints are made against certain individuals; positive reviews are planted; very little room for growth (the people who have been there have been in the same position for years); salary increase is minimal -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 6.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 117210 Open Show you care about your employees, either by updating systems to be more efficient or hiring more people (as an example, the number of events produced went from 9 to 26 - almost triple - yet no one was hired to accommodate the increase in work). If a formal complaint is made against an employee, HR or the "offenders" boss should NEVER say who lodged the complaint (this has happened at least twice). Management should keep a closer tab on newly hired employees to make sure they are actually doing work required and are competent enough for the job. Show you value your hardworking employees by giving raises based on performance and not just the "increase of living". Your efforts to increase morale, or show you have a fantastic company culture on LinkedIn, by having a massive halloween contest or random cookie trains are superficial at best. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 6.0 Mar 18th, 2021 10:24PM Mar 18th, 2021 10:24PM LRP Publications
