Great place for complacency

Customer Service Rep is the wrong title for all you do in this position, you handle accounts receivables, retention, account management, telephone operator. If you’re looking for an opportunity for career growth this isn’t the place. There are more managers than employees (1.5 manager per employee while I was there) in this department and decisions are made reactively instead of proactively. Management would prefer you email questions and when they reply they’re condescending, and you may leave with more questions. My first year with this company was difficult, I felt as if I were being hazed. Fearing retaliation I stayed quiet. Shocking for a company who trains Government employees on Labor and Inclusion! The Customer Service Supervisor was unkind and in desperate need of management classes. Don’t bother be nice, it won’t be appreciated. Training is done but development is a joke because the Supervisor takes every opportunity to expose your minor mistakes and little time praising your accomplishments. During the pandemic they forced the customer service employees to return to the office knowing they proved successful working from home, only to micromanage the few hard working Customer Service Reps, while protecting the salaried employees (who were allowed to work from home). The company host awesome events where they fed us and even offered stress relieving massages from time to time, you’ll need them!

Train and work with you, fun place to work, and they reward you for working hard for them. Benefits were great, and they care about their employees. They have team exercises that are important and fun. Management was total leaders in all phases of the workforce.

Good People but...
|
If, big IF, you got a raise, it was miniscule. The work environment was great, so that was a big plus. Communicating with HR was always a joy, even if it wasn't for great reasons. They know how to make a holiday fun. I enjoyed my time there while it lasted.

Great Place To Work!

I've been with LRP for about a year now. Great environment to work in. They offer flexible hours to everyone. They just renovated our work space and it's amazing. Super modern with standing desks and "free from desk" work spaces. If you do your job and do things on time you aren't bothered. I receive maybe 10 emails a week for work related stuff and that's it. We are always doing something fun related here. They just did an escape room experience for the entire company where each department got to go through an escape room which was super fun. They also are huge into decorating for holidays like Halloween, etc. Been great so far. We are in a transition period from print to digital so a lot of changes are happening. Definitely for the better but it can be tough for people who don't work well on their own. The company really empowers you to be amazing and as long as your work is getting done, they leave you alone. They also have a newer HR team which has been here a little longer than I have. I was worried about the older reviews but I can honestly say the new team is super helpful and really dedicated to making this place a fun, exciting and rewarding place to work.

Great company to work at if you want to stay in the same job for a long time
|
Working at LRP was fine. It was a challenging job for the compensation they offered, which was fair but on the lowest end of the spectrum for the responsibilities.The employee tenures there were really long but opportunity for advancement wasn't really evident. Year to year compensation increases were minimal and only available on performance-based terms. The management was fair and helpful.
