Decent pay yet ineffective communication
The pay here was decent and they pay you even if you don’t have any jobs during your scheduled block which is nice. You may have a lot of downtown so it makes your days a little more flexible. Worst part of working with Lugg is their text response for customer service or communication with people responsible for overseeing the job. If there’s an issue with order or a problem arises , you can’t pick up a phone and dial to speak with someone to handle it , so it often leads to you looking very unprofessional in the eyes of the customer. Often takes several minutes to even hear back from them and is often a generated response which is even more frustrating. In addition, I’ve had jobs that were supposed to be one person jobs that required a ridiculous workload such as moving large pieces of furniture completely by myself. And sometimes, even on two person jobs have had loads that will barely fit in the back of an extended bed stacked so high it made the transportation a little sketchy, even with the correct amount of moving straps. Would recommend as a good temporary job but if you’re looking to be taken serious or advance , there are no such opportunities within Lugg

A demanding, tiring experience that often doesn't feel like the effort you put in is appreciated.
Working at Lugg on the back end, whether that be operations, support, or marketing, there is no work/life balance. The culture is a general expectation (or really an unspoken demand) to get with the "start-up" energy they push, when in reality the company is way past that point and masquerading as one to get away from deeper responsibilities to not only the back-end employees but the "independent contractors" they utilize for the actual Luggs that are done. If you want to help people, this is not the job for you, and it will not make you feel fulfilled. You will leave each day exhausted mentally, emotionally, and physically (even despite positions being remote). If you value communication, you will not find it here unless you fight an uphill battle that only results in you being ousted for speaking up about mistreatment in the workplace, and abandoned by coworkers and management that would rather fall in line than support each other. Use your energy and experience somewhere else that will appreciate it and provide you opportunities for growth.
High compensation (although still not enough for the work demanded)
Extreme lack of work/life balance, inability to advance, zero communication from management, generally a very high-stress work environment

never really had an issue with support as long as i do the job right without any issues. if i have an issue with the job i can communicate it and they respond quickly to be honest. The work is very slow tho, had a day where i got 0 luggs and recently its been maybe 3 luggs if im lucky but thats not good because then they end up not giving you an adjustment bonus payment if u reach a threshold. I spend several hours sitting at ikea comfortably eating a frozen yogurt. as an assistant i get paid $15 an hour i believe. the adjustment bonuses and bonuses in general also take a long time to get paid out. tips also aren’t the best.

Good tips
Sometimes it good, but no so often. I won't recommend this place to my pals, but for the first time it not as bad as can be. This place might be better, if support trying to be more polite

Inconsistent and
Good pay during busier seasons like spring and summer. Rest of the year is low pay and they expect you to stay on the app despite hours of no jobs. They assign personal moves and sometimes retrieve customer orders. The Ikea jobs are exploitative, they have you take large orders from there and only pay a fraction of what the job demanded and at a flat rate. Also you cannot refuse the jobs or they will likely try to suspend your standing otherwise. They take advantage of labor and expect you to accept it. When called out, they essentially say “deal with it” and often with an attitude. I recommend building your own moving business than to be exploited.

Sometimes good pay
SOME of the “Support” staff have a superiority complex & are quick to suspend you with little to no care of the actual situation. Unfortunately, working hard doesn’t pay off. Some of them want you to grovel to get back on the platform. There are some really decent support staff members as well it’s just rare. Pay can be ok. Be cautious

Save yourself your time and gas
When it comes to moving/ delivering companies, this is the worst one. They don't pay their drivers a fair rate for using THEIR OWN VEHICLE AND GAS. Their gas reimbursement is a joke and a helper gets almost as much as a driver, how's that fair? Also if a customer gives you 1 star review your priority goes down which means you make less money, even though you've been working longer than someone who just started, how's that fair? They have such high demands when it comes to delivering heavy, tall items, they expect you to find some way to deliver the impossible instead of making a plan with the customer to make sure their item is deliverable. And if there's any damage, they take money from the delivering people and take no responsibility for their demands. I can't stress enough how corrupt this company is with their practices and they're taking away from small businesses. Please don't support any company who doesn't care about your items but cares more about making a sale..

When it’s busy it’s good money it just doesn’t stay consistent.
You are assigned jobs where they take partial information down and then send it to you to figure out the rest of the missing information. If anything goes wrong it’s your fault, most of the time the info they want you to have you must find out. So you are required to do the customer service side of it while they take credit for it and the money.
Not hard work
Never truly done when you’re done, Can be assigned work minutes before shift is over thst extends your day by two hours or more.

Jobs it’s ok
Although is pay by commission pay is bad, also the dispatchers are very frustrating to work with, miscommunication all the time, and costumers aren’t that polite sometimes
