The amount of growth this company has seen in that amount of time is really just awesome- and it’s a testament to the leadership in the company. The founders care about their employees. As the company has grown, so has my skill set, my pay, and my opportunities within the company. To put it in perspective, when I first started, I worked on hourly pay. LYFE Marketing now offers full time salary positions with benefits, PTO, sick days, bereavement days, a 401K plan and profit sharing plan. This is a direct result of the company’s success as well as the founders prioritizing their employees. Even prior to 2020 I was allowed to work from home full time, and that flexibility has meant a lot for me and my family. Outside of upper management, the team culture is a mixture of hilarious work chats & helpful tips and conversations that grow you as a digital marketer. Even as we grow and continue to hire new person after new person, the office continues to feel like one big work family. Just thankful for this job and therefore popping on here to give my honest review of the company. The compensation is low, but it helps you get a feel for the field. Managers can be helpful. Upper management does care, but like all businesses they are motivated by the bottom line. Little promotional opportunities. Very heavy workload- at times you will feel overwhelmed. I had zero interactions with people and had no sense of belonging. I joined LYFE Marketing to hopefully get a sense of an agency environment, and they delivered on it. I truly enjoy my coworkers. They host monthly outings for us to get together for drinks, games, or other activities. The office is very collaborative and I always have someone to bounce ideas off of when I'm stuck. The hardest part of the job is dealing with clients. Sometimes they can be impossible to please, but that is to be expected for any business that deals with customers. I work remotely and the flexible environment works really well for me in a sales role (some days are busier than others and I can make the most of those days if there are more calls, more clients one day or another). Day to day I have scheduled calls with potential clients, I get to know their marketing goals and help develop a customized plan to suit their needs and goals. I feel like I can really help small businesses grow through my work here. Management listens to my input, I have many opportunities to learn and get better at my role. Interacting and onboarding clients during the day as well as relaying information from clients to your specialist and making sure everything is handled in a timely and correct manner. - Over time I have learned a considerable amount about digital marketing. In an ever-changing field it is important to always be someone that is focused on learning because you never know everything. However, with a great team and great office culture, no-one is offended when you do not know something and greet questions with a helpful smile. - It needs to be noted, you have to be learning, growing in your professional life. - The hardest part of my job is dealing with learning something new every day. If I did not learn something new then I was not working hard enough. This is also a strong suit. I/you will need to love to learn so while it is hard, it is one of the greatest opportunities to gain a lot of knowledge from people that are in the field and with different clients focusing on different things. - The most enjoyable part of my day is the people that work there and the challenges I face every day. Everyone is friendly and if I did not have a challenging client task regularly then I would not be happy. Note- This will be listed in my Cons but I did want to clarify that the company is looking to set this up by Q2 (2020). The people are amazing. I've built real relationships with my coworkers, which makes this experience worth it for me. The managers here do no micro-manage and treats everyone as professionals. With that being stated, they do expect that you perform in your role and holds you accountable if you do not. It is an aggressive workload, however most people do not work over 40 hours a week. But they only teach the bare basics and note much beyond that. You're going to learn all you can here pretty quickly. You will have a lot of clients, so manage your time well and accept the fact that you won't always be delivering your best work. This company is quantity over quality in terms of content delivery. There was not a good process for vetting clients while I worked there, we were constantly going back and forth with clients and the sale's team trying to figure out what they said was promised and what we could deliver. As far as the culture goes, everyone is pretty young and this is their first job out of college.
