A Pleasant and Professionally Rewarding Place To Work
|
Many good people work at Lyon. My supervisor very professional, accessible, and fair, but she is also exceptional within the organization. The students are great to work with also. The faculty can be temperamental. It is in general a very pleasant work environment. Pay and benefits are not great, and advancement seems to depend on personal connections.

160 acre college campus, maintained by a crew of 5.
Thankfully, management has been dealing with that level of staffing long enough to know how to get everything done without burning out their workers.

|
I only worked here as a work study and a tutor in my undergrad. They did allow me to give my top 3 choices and promised to place within them. They definitely kept that promise and I got every work study I asked for.

The benefits and time off at Lyon are good but the pay is not. It is a relaxed atmosphere with good people to work with. It is not a secure place to work given financial difficulties of the college.

Loved working as an RA. You have to be a student at the college and live on campus. The culture is very nice and everyone on campus is very understanding if you are dealing with issues or school work.
