Attempted to boil the ocean, and eventually realized that consumer cameras were not the place to introduce light field technology. Ultimately, the IP and a few key employees were acquired by Google. They don't exist anymore.

Unhealthy work environment for engineers

The majority of engineers are nice and collaborative.
|
Lytro is for people good at politics rather than engineering.
The engineering managers have little technical knowledge in relevant area and cannot have a discussion based on math and science. They emotionally push their inconsistent and nonsensical opinions on engineers. They don't hesitate to tell a lie and harass engineers daily. The fundamental product development is getting stagnant over the last year.
