This is quite honestly the more engaging work I have ever been a part of in my career. Magnolia Medical Technologies is a fast paced, high energy company with every person within the organization making a difference on a daily basis. The Company is centered on evidence and everything we say our product does or any new products we bring to market are backed by reputable studies and various data points. We are strategic in our future plan and always talk about keeping the patient at the center of the conversation. This is truly an organization that cares about its employees and treats everyone as if we are family. We are all driving towards a common goal and the leadership from the top with Bob and Greg is outstanding. They set the tone for the organization, hold themselves to the same standards and guide the team with confidence. This is by far my favorite place to work and one I am proud to be a part of in making a different in Healthcare.

This company has all the ingredients to not only make it, but to make it BIG. The CEO is one of the best leaders I've ever worked with (and I've worked with some great ones), the leadership team is growing and becoming more diverse to ensure top notch, data driven decision making happens across the board and they are working diligently to create a more inclusive working environment for everyone. The pay and bonus structure are industry standard or better and, last but not least, the team that we've been building over the last year is becoming stronger and more capable with every hire. There's nowhere I'd rather be.

We've had some hiccups along the way and have been through a lot of changes this past year, but we're effectively pivoting away from what hasn't been working and staying focused on what IS working - building up the team by hiring more great talent, developing robust processes to ensure tight inter-departmental collaboration, and rolling out products that our customers love.

The product at Magnolia is so needed in the world that it's very easy to support the company's goals and mission. It's rare to find a company that you can truly rally behind and support, but Magnolia makes this easy. The team are all genuinely great, relaxed people to work with who also truly want the company to succeed so there tends to be a great deal of positivity in the workplace. Leadership is also continuously wanting to be better and do better which can be a rare find, as well. Overall, Magnolia has a relaxed environment with great people and a great mission making it a great place to work.

Like all smaller companies seeking to grow, there can be growing pains where you might need to be flexible to keep things running smoothly during periods of transition. As long you're open to being a bit flexible from time to time, this definitely isn't a con.

Lots of talented employees.
Fun office, quiet work space, small lab, great views, and snacks.
Company is financially conservative, transparent and growing.
Product is needed, simple to use and benefits society in a big way.
Salary is median and in range. Stock options.

Department of Operations is dysfunctional, led with abrasiveness and apprehensive to innovation. Under current leadership of this particular department you will not be challenged, heard or inspired to grow.
Leadership across company is an all white cast with one female.
More of a sales company and this culture is imposed from the top onto product development and manufacturing.
Zero employer 401k contribution, very expensive health insurance premiums, PTO is almost bare minimum (you can negotiate for more).

Attrition should be a sign that change is needed in said department. Tune in and listen because there is a decent amount of complaining already. The health and excitement of your employees is the lifeblood of a startup. Don't wait until it is too late.
CEO needs to understand how to motivate the different types of people in an organization. Engineers are not the same as sales. Dedicate even just 5-10% more resources and time to attain a true product development and manufacturing launch cycle. Better to do it right the first time and truly understand issues.
End death by PowerPoint, corporate meeting structure, and back patting culture. People are bored by it and it only gives a false perception of buy in.
