Horrible management and empty promises
|
Management was always horrible, they all show favoritism and if you werenât a favorite you were treated badly. No matter how much of a good employee you were or how long you had been there they wouldnât give you a livable wage and even if they did, they wouldnât schedule you enough hours. People always called out so youâll constantly have to pick up the slack for others, even if they werenât in your department.

The management is terrible. There's not much else to say. If there isn't good management, the work isn't fulfilling. I can name only 2 good assistant managers out of the 6 or 7.

It was good, but not the best

Itâs an easy job, very drama filled and some managers are just power hungry. The kitchen staff is the best. But games is just not it. And from the hours your work, your not paid enough, at least the actual good working people arenât paid enough

My favorite job
|
I worked here for quite a while, a lot of people come and go but the main ones are super solid. It can get a little hectic at times, and it gets crazy busy but if you got what it takes to take on a normal night of a fully crowded bar with 30 seats and a crowd behind it all by yourself and be completely weeded then well, this is the place. A lot of managers are very helpful, some more than others, itâs a busy place so you just gotta be ready when you hit the door to hit the ground running because thatâs what you gonna do all night on the weekends. And never underestimate the power of the weekdays during the evening, itâs often just you by yourself. Get some better shoes, non slip , very comfortable, and come fed because your not gonna get a break. Unless you can find a small opening in time to get a snack in, forget it. Otherwise loved it here other than the madness, one of the best jobs Iâve ever had. Good benefits and cool coworkers. Your gonna love it and hate it.

Weekdays during the school year do not often have many customers. There will be down time in which you can play arcade games and maybe even bowl. Weekends and Summer are busy though, you are constantly working with long lines and large groups of people.

Stressful environment with minimal management support

Nothing about how the business is organized seems optimized for the customer OR employees convenience. Sales office management is encouraged to overbook, often at the floor staffs expense. Kitchen staff very disrespectful, I was personally mocked and insulted for little more than seeking confirmation a lunch order was mine. Facility is often left in a state of filth, as the barest minimum of people are scheduled proportional to the expected foot traffic.

Management is very cliquey. If you get on the bad side of one or two, your job is going to be a lot harder. Terrible scheduling, (Overscheduled on slow days, Understaffed on busy). Watch your paychecks, I had money missing from many of mine personally

The job wasn't bad by a longshot! BUT if you've worked in nicer dining settings and switched to the Main event it may be a lot harder to get readjusted to the youthfulness of the environment and staff.
