A great place to learn and to develop PR related skills!

The team at Mantelpiece PR were always friendly, and thoroughly explained what needed to be done with the tasks set. They always checked up on me to make sure I was handling the tasks well and offered assistance. There were opportunities to assist on events for clients, which was very exciting, and through this learning more about their products and services.
There is a range of different beauty clients, with a chance to learn about the products and have a more in depth understanding of what the clients wanted.

The office space, however Mantelpiece PR has recently moved so this issue has been resolved!

- The team are all lovely and great to work with
- All try to involve me in as much as possible in their work and want me to get the most out of my role
- Varied work meaning no day is the same
- Varied deadlines so that the workload is manageable
- Great mix of beauty related clients which makes the work interesting

- Ability to build great relationships with the team due to working in close proximity every day, including sharing an office space with the company Founder.
- Senior Management always encouraging and willing to listen, always felt as though I had a sense of purpose.
- Great opportunities for career devolpment, I started as an intern and progressed to Account Exec.
- Great office environment, everyone willing to help each other out within the team, everyone felt equal.
- Work life balance always encouraged, if my work load meant I needed to stay late I was always encouraged to come in later the next morning.
- Senior Management cared about the wellbeing of the team, arranged treats and trips out for xmas, birthdays, always insistent on taking full hour for lunch.
- Opportunity to take on greater responsibility as my job role grew.
- Ideas always welcomed to develop the company and ensure the team were happy.
- Amazing opportunity to learn all aspects of PR due to the fast paced environment and hands on approach to work.

- Small office, however there are 'breakout' spaces and I was always encouraged to go for a walk and get some fresh air at regular intervals.

-Small agency so very hands-on which means I learnt a lot in a short space of time and had many more opportunities to develop and progress than other companies
- Close-knit team so great sense of camaraderie
- Relaxed atmosphere
- Like the ethos and transparency to clients
- Good focus on press relations, I developed some amazing contacts there
- Lots of perks and very competitive salary
- So many good places locally for lunch

Perks of the company were working with luxury clients which gave great freebies to trial. Meeting journalists and getting out of the office often for meetings.
|
Office environment was very cramped with no windows.
Unrealistic targets were set due to a high ratio of clients to employees.
Unfriendly senior management.
Extreme working hours in order to get the minimum done.
Poor pay
Extremely high turnover
