As a smaller agency, Marino really gives their employees the opportunity to learn everything and anything they want to. I was given the opportunity to do traditional PR, crisis management, event PR & red carpets, social media management, influencer management and so much more! Many other companies do not give their employees the opportunity to work within all of these area and thanks to Marino, I was able to truly get a 360 experience. Marino also really listens to their employees by supporting them in areas that they want to grow in and/or areas they shine in.
Marino also has a family-like culture and really strives to great an environment that people are proud to be a part of. I can’t say enough good things about the team!

Clients can be difficult sometimes but that’s client services and senior staff does a great on managing that.

Embrace regular agency standards - many agencies have done away with business casual dress code and opt for unlimited PTO. The previous option to WFH only once a month is absurd. If you're a "family-run" business, you should be able to TRUST your employees to not abuse unlimited PTO or wear client-facing clothes when necessary. Marino has not evolved with the times , and thus, continues to lose talented junior staff to other agencies that reflect today's industry standards.
Make meaningful investments and changes to your company - create HR, truly embrace diversity and inclusion policies, and don't be blinded by the confirmation bias of your own employees.

-scrappy so if you’re junior you learn a lot
-coworkers are fun

If you land on a team that’s really cliquey, your experience here will be not so great. If not, it’ll be a chill job with not much room for growth but you’ll be able to get a bit of experience.
Tactics for PR are very outdated, and management is out of touch with reality. Benefits are subpar for an agency, and they never really take our concerns into account when making decisions. If management likes you, you’ll do well but can’t say the same for the others.

Loved the diversity of work, agency's growth, and family feel

Marino is special. I've never worked at a place where people got along so well together. It truly has a family feel.
What I liked a lot about working there was the fact that I was given room to run. You were trusted. Nothing stood in the way of a good idea and then implementing it.
Marino is also growing which was fun to be apart of. I enjoyed the diversity of the work and the fact that new clients kept coming in.
