Bad pay

Very little, although hours are flexible.

Pay is very bad, work is boring and you do the same thing all day every day.

Simple, easy job. Poor management

Good for students and others looking for flexible work

Management can be rude and condescending. Very short breaks.

Laid back, friendly staff

-Generally, everyone was pretty laid back
-Work-life balance

Personally, the work did not feel fulfilling at all. Different for everyone of course, but the work was just very dull.

Great place and people!

Love the product. It is lightning quick and killing the competition. Go ETL's and TAC! Thunderpunching is probably the highlight.

Hope for scope and everything will fall into place.

Neat Place to Work - albeit disorganized due to layoffs.
|
|
Coworkers were great. Innovation was rewarded. Interesting work and flexible work/life balance. Lots of opportunities to socialize. Release nights, although ran late into the night, the team made it as fun as possible.
|
Job I applied for was not the job I interviewed for. On day of showing up I was reassigned to another group I wasn’t made aware of. Recent merger caused a slew of layoffs. Our team had to make several jarring pivots due to shifting strategic changes.

Continue to move to micro services so releases can be broken down and as much of an event. Firm up long term platform strategy.

Okay Company
|
|
Make own hours, convenience of working from home
|
If this is a job you are working to actually make money to supplement income, I would pass. If this is a job that you do to make extra for possible savings, yes, work here.
The company overall is not bad. However, when they say you set your own schedule, you do 2 weeks out. Also, albeit you set the 20 hours, you are not guaranteed to work those hours. So in 2 months, I was "called off" (their way of saying do not need you) 4 weeks of the 8 weeks I worked here. However, every night the staff would work at least 2 hours into my shift. I feel that they could have at least let me work and get those 1-2 hours per day since I did allot myself as available. Instead, you end up not working (messing up your income) and missing valuable time with friends and/or family because you have to be available. The scheduler needs to do a better job of forecasting the day, for example if Jane hasn't worked all week, let me cancel Tom because he has and allow Jane to get a minimum of 10 each week. That allows for Tom and Jane to both get the same amount of hours and both to be satisfied. Also they will allow people who can work earlier to get extra hours and work taking away from those who scheduled themselves and work later. But cancel the people who work later because the people with extra hours have taken the time and work. Just is unfair to the people who work later.

Make it where the person who is scheduling ensures everyone gets hours in for everyone. suggestions monitor the people are doing extra hours to ensure those who do work later in the evening can work as well. Otherwise, stop taking people who can only work a certain time. These people are applying, for whatever reason, and need the income. The stress you create by not having them work 2-3 weeks and not making income is ridiculous. Also, if a person has system issues, most jobs consider that a tech day or if they can confirm it will not hold the person responsible. However, as a company that has work from home, you do not take that into consideration at all when system issues are possible. I would suggest reviewing your procedure on that.
