Great place to learn fundamentals of marketing, and current best practices, using best marketing tools. Management very supportive and cares about employee success. Understands realities of working parents. Interesting clients, workdays are not repetitive, never a dull day. Physical office is really nice. Tries to make work fun with Happy Hours and corporate events.

Not great location for parking. Lots of niche jargon to learn very quickly before you'll understand what people are talking about. Slightly creepy corporate mascot who reminds me of my ex and haunts my dreams.

The only pro is that you will pick up new skills and ideas.
|
1. One of the owners named Billy is a nightmare to work for, she is extremely condescending, overbearing, and treats her employees with disdain.
2. Company demands long hours, and the company laptop is provided to loop you in to working extra hours at home.
3. Clauses in the hiring contract are, in my opinion, highly restrictive and unethical at best.
4. Poor pay with little hope to grow in the company.
5. Diversity is not thing there, very elitist bunch.

The opportunity to work at Marketing Envy allowed me to pursue a successful marketing career. Learned a lot about the industry, about Cybersecurity startups, and even more so about the types of people, one might find at a workplace. Except for the professional people, above all Marketing Envy thought me how it is to work with unkind people, and how to stand my ground nonetheless.

Though marketing can be a rather stressful experience at times, Marketing Envy presented an even more stressful work environment, most times, unnecessarily. My hope is for its employees to have tougher skin and to remember their worth, regardless of any criticism they are receiving.
