I was hired through a temp agency to work at Banfield Pet Hospital from November 2017 to May 2018. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a terrible experience. Despite being recruited by an old coworker who painted a rosy picture, the reality was far from it. The hiring process was arduous, with unreasonable hoops to jump through, and the pay was meager with no benefits. Management was reminiscent of 'mean girls' - immature, lacking professionalism, and devoid of office decorum.

Love being a part of our clients experience and watching their pets grow. Even having to be a part of some heartbreaking moments, I still feel like I am being a comfort to them in those moments and helping them through it
|
Everything really depends on the doctors (vets). If they can't work, or just decide they don't want to, the clinic has to close if we can't get another doctor to cover. If they don't want to see sick pets, we just tell them to go to a different location.
Sometimes, the schedule is just all chaos and nothing gets done that needs to be.
