However the culture is backwards beset by gossip and work habits that don't mesh with a modern work culture. People are rarely recognized for merit and it made way for a backstabbing to be more prevalent and management for the most part looks the other way as its been a way of life for quite some time. The benefits are good including vacation time and holidays. Most employees have a good work/life balance. MassHousing's main business is lending, but it has many employees doing other public service work. If you aren't working in a division that addresses lending, MassHousing will essentially ignore you unless there are problems. This leads to extreme Dilbert style disfunction. Adding to the frustration in working in such a department, there is no hope for promotion in such departments nor hope of joining other departments. MassHousing will let you do what you're doing until you retire, but it stomp all over you if you want any other sort of career path. Also MassHousing is fairly conservative across departments, and has a severely hierarchical work environment. 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 3.0 4.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 3.0 367455 Open Lending operations are well run.
