MATTER is a Minnesota-based global health nonprofit on a mission to move people forward by eliminating barriers to a healthier life. Internationally, MATTER addresses these barriers by giving hospitals the tools they need to care for the sick and injured in dignified ways, and by designing solutions to create diversified and resilient farms. Locally, MATTER activates healthy eating for kids and families with the MATTERbox program, an innovative solution to healthy food access and nutrition education.

Matter is a movement of people who believe they have the power to solve some of the world's greatest challenges right in their own two hands. One of the biggest challenges we face today is the lack of access to health. All humankind, regardless of race, income, religion, or sex, deserve the same access to a full and healthy life. It is only then that we can create a world where we all matter.
Matter's (2015 - 2018) 3-year strategic goal is to expand access to health for 10 MM people by 2018. To achieve these goals, Matter works in 3 key areas: international hospitals & clinics, national healthy food access, and corporations.
Internationally, through our Hospital & Clinic Program, Matter is helping to build health infrastructure through sourcing and shipping medical supplies and equipment to developing communities. Expanding access to healthy food in nontraditional and innovative ways. Matter's healthy food program addresses our objective to expand access to nutritious food within our own community through The MATTERbox Program. The MATTERbox is a box of healthy, shelf-stable meals and nutrition education, designed to help people take their first steps towards a healthier life. Both of these programs are brought together by a network of world-class companies who use business as a force for good, 'Companies That Matter' are committed to engaging their employees in volunteerism and use business as a force to create real change within their community and communities around then world.
