Proceed with caution
|
|
Very flexible with working hours. They have a summer picnic and Christmas party which is very nice.
|
Extremely unsecure building. Lots of close door gossip and don't expect to given a review or a raise. The amount you are hired at is what you stay at.

Horrible job -Stay away
|
|
They let me work remotely
|
super micro management. Extremely cheap with employees who travel. Don't want to pay commissions. Don't want to support reps. Don't know what going out outside the walls of their building. The home office needs major renovations. They are blind to where the industry is going. Management is absolutely horrible. They have extreme turnover in multiple departments. I honestly thought the company was a joke after a month being there. My advice stay away unless you want to get paid to work remote and do nothing. You cannot be successful here the way the company is currently set up. I predict its out of business in two years.

RETIRE. every manager I dealt with is clueless and out dated. Its hard to find talent in Central PA I understand that. They don't know what the future of the industry is, they think their company is so much better then the competition. its really sad.

Overview
|
|
-small family type environment, 30-40 employees
-you can work whatever hours you want to fit your schedule just as long as you get all your time in
-you can take a day off without having to put in for it weeks before
|
-shop employees are extremely under paid. In the 5+ years I've worked here I have only had 1 raise, and it was around .30 cents
-management thinks saying "thank you" is more than enough credit for doing your job
-management up front dictates what happens in the shop, when over half of them never even step out into the shop
-frustrating when I'm working my butt off and I can see/hear managers laughing, watching YouTube, and talking the day away doing nothing.
-quality control office out in the shop area, but yet they never check any parts that are produced, painted, etc.
-most of the hard working people here that get the jobs completed to make the up front people look good, are the ones that get paid very low
-no room for advancement
-management attitude that anyone can be replaced by a temp

-start caring about your employees before most of them are gone.
-actually go out into the shop and see how things operate before you want to give input on how things should go
-it's a shop, it's suppose to be dirty
-look at how underpaid each employee is at each position and give them what they really deserve

Friendly work environment, you have a good bit of P.T.O., sometimes you get free lunch and
depending on your position you can screw off as much as a like.
You don't need your own tools.
|
No active quality control but there is a manager for that department so you better check your own work as you do it,
Don't aspect a raise increase as they don't care, I say that after working for them near 7 years without a real raise.
They like to thank you a lot for doing the job that they pay you to do but still no more money.
They calibrate all the measuring tools and if the tape measure is so warned down that you cant read the numbers or see the lines it will be good to use with a new sticker from are quality department idiots.

Respect the people that you have working for buy giving them pay increases instead of a thank you, cause the very few great employees that stay will always hate the fact that ther pay will never go up.

Overall good, however I am glad that I left as I now make more monwy
|
|
Mauell was a great learning experience, and it was exciting working with different types of technology. Most of the employees are friendly. Great starter company. Pretty flexible scheduling. Small "family" atmosphere.
|
Management does not manage properly. If you do your job well, you are rewarded with more work, meanwhile employees that do not do a good job are kept on. Pay is below average. Too much nepotism.

Pay your employees based on the national average, not the local average. You have excellent employees however you would rather let them move on to prove a point that everyone is replaceable. Eventually it will bite them. Listen to your employees, they have great ideas that would make the company even more profitable.

OK Place to Work
|
|
Interesting and challenging work. Able to do many diffferent tasks, job is not boring.
Projects are varied and each one is different in technologies and potential to learn something new.
|
Very little training, expected to learn on the job.
Poor support from some managers.

Listen to employees, communicate more with employees about what is going on, and where the company is going. Employee meetings need to be more supportive of those who really are trying to do a good job.
