Hour lunch. That’s about it really. Didn’t get to experience a whole lot of engineering work. I was hired to replaced a long time employee who would be my mentor, I barely spoke to the guy. He was always very busy. Most of my work consisted of data entry into overly complicated programs that would then spit out work orders for the machinist out on the floor. Very confusing for everyone and only made processes take much longer. Did a lot of AutoCAD work which was all 2D. The diversity and inclusion work is a lot of fun and the people I work with are some of the best colleagues I've ever had. It's a great team to work with. The president, Joy Papini, is personable, highly knowledgeable, and respected by her clients and network. She is also a great mentor. Tidland is willing to work with your schedule. They have some advancement opportunities, but with trying to keep costs down they tend to just add more responsibilities to current employees. Company is not as satisfying to work for now they are global.
