My city has burned due to BLM and Antifa rioters, and now I am expected to sit in meetings and receive emails promoting the former organization. Today, I've received an email expressing remorse for Jacob Blake, a known criminal who has committed crimes like sexual assault against a minor, and who admitted by his own words that he was reaching for a knife in his vehicle before being shot by police. Also, BLM supports the Democratic platform, as when BLM leader Shaun King opened for Socialist Bernie Sanders. My organization is now mixing work and politics. Also, we must now sit in meetings and be told that white employees have benefited from a white supremacist society. We've had at least one 'black only' meeting, according to the announcement. I know I'm just an ordinary citizen, but this sounds a lot like segregation and that is currently illegal in the US. Everyone seems passionate about the mission. Fast moving, exciting and a lot of good work to be done. Good place for those who want to make an impact and drive for results. Benefits are good and very affordable. Company has handled COVID crisis well, I feel well informed and my worries are put at ease. Could use some additional best practice guidelines/more structure. Some weeks can be a lot of hours, but it depends on workload or assigned projects.
