I was working in Medigo for 3 years. The founders are very nice as well as all the people at the company. I've never met there someone harsh or unfriendly.
The main pluses for me:
1. People
2. Flixibility
3. Pleasant atmosphere
4. Good equipment
5. Posibility to try something new
|
The lack of the strategy for a longer period of the time (2-5 years)
But I think it's a feature of every startup.

Just to put in a bit of context, prior to this I had worked at startups (both big and small) in India
- Excellent work-life balance
- Good learning from time to time from colleagues of my own team as well as other teams
- Sufficient opportunities to take ownership of things and drive them
- Super friendly, supportive and fun loving colleagues and a really good company culture
- Dogs. Dogs. Dogs
- Working for meaningful cause and understanding a new business domain
- A truly international team with ~50 employees from ~30 countries

Can't think of anything or atleast related to my team/domain of work, as it was largely smooth sailing all along. If I had to think really hard, there were times when there was a bit of lull and things moved a bit slower than it should have. A bit of hacker mentality there could have helped.

Great team and company spirit

As a new employee, the first thing you are likely to notice at Medigo is its welcoming staff and how easily you are able to settle into such an accommodating team. Indeed, one of the company’s most valuable qualities is its company culture. Because of the people and spirit around you, working in the interest of the “team” and the company (even if it means sometimes going outside your individual role) comes naturally. Further to this, while a lot of companies claim to be diverse, few can live up to this claim. Medigo belongs in the latter category.

The company has gone through many transitions, as startups do. This does mean one has to adapt quickly.

My worst experience ever , the company doesn't have any clear goal , they tend to have multiple projects without completing or succeeding in any of them.
They change their strategy every single month, I know that any startup is supposed to change its market penetration strategy but in medigo it was too much.
Operation is a disaster, it is being handled by an inexperienced and childish person, if he likes you will be promoted and makes you feel like a superstar otherwise you're out , your performance doesn't really matter.
The CEO is a nice person but he trusts the wrong people.
The staff that are doing all the work are very poorly paid , while a lot of useless people are paid 6 or 5 times than the others.
If you have a good relationship with the director of operations you can work from home and get promoted if not you will get the worst treatment.
To sum it up, totally unprofessional environment, apparently it used to be good but it's not any longer. I don't recommend this "company" at all
