Good for short-term work, not so great for long term
|
While upper level jobs may be rewarding as far as compensation and job fulfillment come, lower level manufacturing is a really tough place to be in for a multitude of reasons. The starting pay for temporary workers is $14.75, while permanent employees in the same department who have been on board between 1-3 years aren't $1 above that pay, most about 50 cents. Annual raises are 3% of your salary, and accepting additional responsibilities/learning new skills (forklift) does not affect this figure.
The work itself isn't terrible and makes the day go by quickly, though the expectations the company has on people making slightly above minimum wage is insane. Supervisors/leads hardly offer words of encouragement/praise and mostly complain about mistakes you're making and how upset they are that their bosses are that things aren't being done the way they want them to be.
There is a very high turnover rate and most people end up leaving within a few months. This causes stress on senior workers as there is a constant influx of new faces, and you find yourself constantly having to train new people only to have them leave shortly after. A vast majority of people express unhappiness with their jobs and talk about quitting/looking for new work. While people aren't very happy about their job, most people here are generally friendly and are fun to work with.
I think that this company is great to work at if you're looking for a job for a short time, but I don't recommend working here for longer than you need to.

I really enjoy working here. I love the people. I would tell everyone to work here. Its Monday through Friday with weekends off. The boss is really nice and pretty kool.

Leadership is Mediocre at Best

Lifestyle medicine and the connection to Jeffrey Bland is incredible.
I couldn’t name one leader that was inspiring or that instilled trust.
Compensation was great for below average leaders. Poor for entry level mid level performers that would do all the work.
Environment felt chaotic and inconsistent.

Worst place to work at!

Managers have no idea what being a manager means. It starts with hiring and the HR director is the most incompetent of them all. They treat employees like their dirt and could care less about you. They blame employees when things go wrong and take credit for an employees idea. I worked her 6 years and it just got worse. If your offered a job here don’t accept it! You’ll regret the first week on the job.

All together the place is ok. Not the best but doable if you're Male. Working there as a female there is a hidden higher arches that will get you fired for going above and beyond like you should in a job.
