Don't Even Think Of It!
I can't think of any pros to working at this company. They reel you in, and you think "what nice people" and then the claws come out
Nasty management. Indecisive, rude, mean, unethical people. Don't think for a minute Michael is a "nice guy". And his husband is just as bad, and has no idea how to run a buainess

Abusive, Arrogant, and Unethical Leadership - Stay Away
There are no real, meaningful pros to working for this company. The brand may be established, but this is at the cost of treating employees horribly by taking advantage of them and using scare tactics to constantly threaten their job security. The starting salary may look good for a full time position, but based on the company's "culture" of pulling unnecessarily long hours, on an hourly basis, it's almost entry level pay.
I have never worked with such an abusive company. Upper management would tell employees they were replaceable on a near-daily basis and the ridiculously high turnover proved that Michael did not care, at all, about any of the people who built his brand. In the 7 months I worked with the company, 6 employees were fired before I was. In fact, the overwhelming majority of Michael's employees were fired or left before they hit one year's tenure, and there was only one employee with a tenure over 18 months in the two New York locations. We were constantly being watched on cameras in the disorganized studio space, and management would actually text employees to let them know they were being watched. Management did everything they could to frighten employees into devoting endless hours to a company that would soon after kick them to the curb like a piece of trash. This same management would come to fire employees, in front of everyone, at a very alarming rate, and they did their best to establish the feeling that no one was good enough to deserve to work for Michael. Speaking of which, Michael was extremely arrogant and rude, and his fragile ego continuously halted progress. Even my director said they wished he would stay out of design reviews. It's important to note this because, all of his short comings were blamed on everyone else. He was so passive-aggressive, petty, and indecisive that everyone had to walk on egg shells around him. His husband was no different and would regularly disrupt employees during visits where he would come to force his never-ending opinions on the team. Once, I was thoroughly reprimanded for questioning why Michael gave such conflicting feedback after, in the course of 48 hours, the EXACT SAME project, with no changes, went from being lovely, beautiful, and elegant to being blah and drab. In a creative field, questioning and having a healthy back and forth consisting of constructive criticism is vital. However, all too often, there was no reason other than "I don't know" to back up the shallow statements made to critique designs. Negative feedback is part of any job, and that's okay, but the constant wishy-washy behavior was just confusing, and it felt like we were being set up for failure. I say we because several others agreed on this. Once, when one of my designs was approved, his husband had the nerve to immediately turn to me and say that it was odd my design was approved because he actually thought of it and designed it first, over a year earlier ... I wish I was joking. The brand claims to be built on virtue, but if outsiders were privy to what took place in this company, anyone with a sense of morals would appalled and disgusted.

Zero business ethics, not luxury line
Attractive product line with good reputation overall among designers and clients, however not luxury as they try to push, definitely more a premier brand. At my time salaries were fair to good, which was the only saving grace.
Highly dysfunctional with constant revolving door of employees across the board. People worked in constant fear. Zero company team culture. No protcols, standards, reviews or PIPs in place. Top performers and assets were let go on whims or personal vendettas from Michael or upper management. Zero business ethics, very questionable practices regarding intracompany staff, but also to end-consumers i.e. limited pieces are not as limited as they say, sometimes new copies were made as APs/Artists Proofs. Michael's signature on items were often faked or forged in NJ warehouse. Narrative that products are designed by Michael himself and made by artisans in an Atelier is a total facade. Many products are made by other vendors and company puts them in their packaging sleeves. Quality and materials certainly not worth price.

Hire actual executives and season staff to run this mismanaged company. Have an actual HR person in place. Develop a team culture to increase productivity. Stop churning out the same boring SKUs with just a different flower. Promote and lift up team members and their potential ideas/innovation rather than have everyone compete in the royal court for favor.
