The technical solution implies that data from water metres with impulse or protocol output are transmitted to concentrators using diapason 868 MHz.
Concentrators transfer data to data centre using LAN WiFi GPRS GSM connection.
Concentrators operate with data server in IP network.
Data are stored and processed in MySQL data base thus the clients are able to analyse pattern of water consumption and the pressure data in water network in different dimensions: by meters, by location, by time. It is possible to analyse customer’s behaviour, to find out wrecks of ducts, hidden leaks and clients fraud. Using developed interface water utilities are able to attach water meters to geographic map. Staff of utilities as well as clients is able to get SMS about water consumption in case when consumption overruns previously installed thresholds. The solution has web based applications.
The technical solutions is developing 3 years and have been piloted in more than 20 Latvian and Estonian municipality’s water and heat distribution networks.
