Fully remote team. Travel. Great customer base to work with. Everyone at the company is willing to jump in to help customers and each other. Doing your work and solving problems is more valued than putting in more than 40 hours a week. The company seems to have quite a bit of opportunity in the market and the new leadership is pushing hard to capture it. Every single day is a new day, and anything can happen. That's the fun in it. Work is very flexible, and co-workers are great! You put in what you get out. You will be rewarded for doing well at your job. If you're after a fast-pasted 8-5pm job that has the potential to make a ton of money, this isn't the company for you. We are laid back here. Because of this, they have been faced with pretty much any and every business challenge out there resulting in a solid core and foundation. MicroMain's values have been built on that experience and everyone is genuinely interested in improving, evolving and providing the best products and services to our customers. Your colleagues at all levels are team players that are happy and willing to help, and that's not something you can find anywhere. Majority of the company is middle-aged men so it's not your typical young-fun-Austin-software-company. Although they do try to keep the morale up with beer and bbq's. They will pay you on the low end. Benefits are minimal. Hard work, commitment and problem-solving skills are noticed and rewarded. 2. MicroMain management is not afraid of change. There is a continuous search for the best tools and methods needed to attain our goals. I have the opportunity to learn and expand my skillset by using today’s tools. 3. There is an opportunity for career advancement. I’ve observed a number of people who have received promotions as a result of their efforts (see #1). 4. Part of how I measure my personal career goal attainment is by making a contribution that impacts the company’s goals and growth. I’m not a grain of sand on the beach at MicroMain; I clearly see the fruits of my labor. 5. The monthly company gatherings are great because the people are great – and many of them are great cooks, ready and willing to cook for the rest of us.
