A great "intro" to the oil services industry. Terrible Management No room for career growth Innovation and development of product/technology is non-existent Job gets boring and repetitive after a year or so If you are looking to become an excellent oil industry professional, I would advice searching for a better and more challenging job after 1-2 years here. This is company that looks for workers (aka button pushers) and not necessarily professionals. Management does not encourage innovative thinking. 1.0 POSITIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 1.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 261599 Open There are too many managers for such a small company. There needs to be a decrease in micromanagement. The company needs to take interest in career development. The company needs to sell itself or merge with another service company. This company cannot survive on niche technology alone. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 6.0 Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM MicroSeismic Oil & Gas Software & Computer Services

Poor performers were generally culled. Some management protected their team too much, technology group was spread too thin 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 0.0 NO_OPINION 1.0 4.0 3.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 261599 Open Company did a great job at setting a fun, challenging, rewarding environment in the good times. The lean times were handled without a seemingly cohesive plan and appeared to be knee-jerk and abrupt. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM MicroSeismic Oil & Gas Software & Computer Services
private:microseismic https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=261599 Jan 10th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open MicroSeismic United States USA Insight during a downturn... The company says what it's going to do. After a salary and staff reduction, due to the downturn of the market, the company is fulfilling it's promises to return salaries back to a certain percentage. This is a great place to work and there is opportunity for growth if you put in the effort. Life/work balance is a plus. This isn't a place where you are "on the clock" but you are expected to meet your job responsibilities responsibly. Past employees are upset because they either were let go or left when the entire oil and gas market was in a downturn, but that doesn't mean the Company is bad. Most companies within the oil and gas sector had to cut staff and/or salaries. The Company continues to fight for it's employees and the technology. 401 K Benefit matches haven't been reinstated yet, but I'm confident they will happen soon with the upturn in the market. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 261599 Open Reinstate 401K matches 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 4.0 Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM MicroSeismic Oil & Gas Software & Computer Services

Canadian Division Field Management team was awesome to work with and learn from. Seeing the Operations Supervisor, Ops Manager laying equipment showed how much they care about helping the employees and job success rate. Middle management got along with employees and the workforce was very productive. Too top heavy. 3 "C" suite employees and numerous VPs for a company of less than 50 employees. Employees that have ties with upper management continue to keep their jobs while sitting at home doing nothing. Favoritism has killed the company. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 5.0 2.0 5.0 1.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 261599 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 6.0 Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM MicroSeismic Oil & Gas Software & Computer Services
private:microseismic https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=261599 Feb 29th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open MicroSeismic Employee Houston, TX Used to be a good place. Most people are good to work with, depending on your department you have a nice supervisor. Most of the good people are gone. Certain people get to stay due to favoritism and have nothing to offer the company. Very sad and unsettling to see last hr person go. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 4.0 1.0 4.0 1.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 261599 Open If you would like us to continue to work for pennies please give us some sort of incentive, otherwise people are going to be very unhappy. Although there is probably no easy way to lay people off, this last round of layoffs were handled poorly. Executive team and board need to get in touch with reality and the little guys they left stuck in between a rock and a hard place. 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 4.0 Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM Mar 21st, 2021 08:59PM MicroSeismic Oil & Gas Software & Computer Services
