It’s ok but not great

It’s a job and pays well but not a home for a career. They do not have a lot of support for people working nights. On nights you have to stay awake to do all the scheduling of various requirements.

Worked at MIG for a few months on a few different bridge projects ! On the third project they moved me to they had a fresh out of college project manager with all kinds of degrees but had absolutely no working knowledge of operations on a bridge job ! Absolutely did not know which piece of equipment should be used ! I:e : he wanted me to grade a temporary road with a back hoe loader instead of a crawler dozer ! That ship had no captain in the wheel house so I had to quit MIG !

Really disappointed in the wennies rating this job.. Its what u put in is what u will get out.. Great pay, overtime, and easy job.. Sure u will sacrifice a saturday but its not like ppl cant live life AFTER work or have a life after.. Hit the gym if ur tired or need more energy! Simple if u want great pay, overtime and paid breaks then thats it.. U can always go back to a min wage paying job w/ part time/on call hours..

I make my situations the best I can. I try to lift the spirits of the other employees trying to yuin others day. I stay away from the drama amd stick the work at hand. If they wanna be stressed out and complain I just laugh it off. Im sure thats the ppl that are just unhappy wherever they go, I myself think long term and hope my retire ment will take care of me in the long run!
