A family environment feel how ever being a driver was treated differently but not bad in anyway shape or form. Milestone specializes with people with mental disabilities so with that said milestone focuses on the individuals and employee's who work on that front.

No support, over worked, and underpaid
|
There’s no support when disciplining staff. Higher ups throw out DAs without input from the supervisors. No incentives for supervisory staff to want to continue working there. Over worked and underpaid. Supervisory staff don’t receive bonuses. The job isn’t about the happiness of the individuals, it’s focused more on making and keeping the staff happy. Lots of gossip amongst the supervisory staff and they’re very clichey. You don’t fit in, they look for ways to set you up to get fired.

Milestone is a great place to work! I Love being able to interact with the clients and help them succeed. They are my favorite part of the job! Management is very helpful and always willing to answer questions and help when needed! Each day is different which makes the shifts fun. I also like that I can work a variety of shifts and I get to choose my own schedule!

I worked here for almost 5 years. Most DSPs were friendly, others very opinionated and nosy, it can be a very cliquey environment, tons of gossip. Management can make you or break you. If your supervisor doesn't like you TRANSFER as soon as you can. They can make your life miserable. Pay is ok but theres other places in the area that pay more.

Good place to work

I enjoyed working with the clients. The hardest part of the job was the long hours (sometimes up to 16 hours a day). A typical day at work was just like anyone's home. Bathe, breakfast, go to training, come home have a snack, eat dinner, watch tv, go to bed.

It is all about the clients, (I wish) Let's see I noticed some workers instigate arguments between clients and between staff, low pay, unsupervised workers, not enough staff especially managers and supervisors after 3pm, uncontrolled work environment. This company hires just to have bodies on the unit, not for skill, you will be a number and that is sad. It's a sespool, the managers, supervisors, and the employees are messy. If you are good at what you do watch out, because it will be haters trying to sabotage you.

Better than most nursing homes. Still not great.

The rooms are carpeted. "More home-like," they call it. But the carpet takes effort to clean. Food, urine, and miscelanous fluids fall to the floor and, well, stay on the floor.
Nurses hate each other everywhere, I guess, but the hate is truly palpable at Milestone with roughly half the nurses. If not hate, then certainly indifference.
Residents are loveable. That's pretty much it.
