At first, this temp job seemed to be ok--as they bumped up our pay, but it soon became obvious things were NOT as they seemed.
After complaints from the client we now receive 'threats' concerning write ups/verbal warnings, and on-line quizzes to see if we know how to do our jobs. This is NOT how to motivate or manage the your staff--but its all in a days work at Milestone!
Work policies are ill-defined as they are changed by the client hourly and training for new-hires needs to go much deeper than 'emailed materials/SOP' (that no one reads). Leads/Supervisors do nothing to motivate or educate staff and turn a blind eye to on-going poor work ethic to keep up 'staffing'.
Honest communication is non-existant and the game-playing favortism by the managers is high-school level entertainment.
Its pretty apparent MT is a VERY low end temp-for-hire operation trying to meet client quotas.
Do a better job with promoting foundational training of staff from the start of the hiring process.
Leads/Supervisors and Managers should continue DAILY positive reinforcement of policy and education. STOP the threats of punishment and write ups... it doesn't improve morale or 'scare' people to do better work.

based on the client you're assigned to, you can get pretty good treatment. pay is low and increases don't come regularly. sour place to work; lots of blame game stuff. learning lots to find a better job somewhere else.

the only good thing about Milestone is the Pay/Benefits. Besides that, the management couldn't care less about you. They set you up to fail, also the exact words from the manager to me "If I tell you to do something, and you do it wrong because of lack of training, it is still your fault" - The current Milestone Lead of the Ashburn location. They will act like they care about you as a company, but as soon as you make a mistake (due to lack of training) they fire you off of the first offense.

Overall
My experience working at Milestone Technologies they will send you 40 miles away from your house. If you’re smart enough to network with your coworkers, you will find out that they sent you 40 miles from home while at the same time they are doing a larger job 4 miles from your house with more available hours! I would be sent 40 miles from my house and in the San Francisco Bay Area that’s two plus hours. Get to the job pay for parking and there’s three hours of work! Awesome, I had to cross two bridges at $7 each, drive for four plus hours for three hours of pay... It cost me more money to get to work than I was getting paid!!! AWESOME JOB!!!!

Do not be a screener.
|
The screeners have the worst job. No cellphones, no laptops, no books, no nothing. The shifts last between 4-6.5 hours and you get to do nothing. You sit there and stare at a wall and have to deal with the jerk security people. It is awful, do not do it! Its not even worth the money.
