Work-life balance They were pretty good about working with my school schedule and were understanding when something came up. For time off they usually expect you to plan well in advance. Management Management micro manages a lot....this is how the owner likes it I believe. Everyone that works there is cool though. They have very high standards for cleanliness and mistake prevention. Overall Overall I loved my time and milk and honey. They money as a barista is pretty good with the tops. The management style involves a lot of micro managing. As long as you do your job near perfectly you won't have any problems. The food and drinks are absolutely delicious, the shift drink is nice. I wish the discount on employee lunches was a little bit higher. If you need experience it's great, they'll hire anyone, and it definitely shows. The management is trash, and mainly consists of those who have never stepped foot in the beauty industry prior, but certainly have the ego. I won't say that Milk and Honey is unique in this. But I'd definitely say what makes that place a nightmare, is the uneducated management staff. Some of the employees are wonderful people. Management. The most enjoyable part was the amount of people I was able to meet. The hardest part was when we were understaffed but we always figured it out and got the job done. The job taught me so countless skills I will use for life.
