Employees including managers do not seem very happy here

Not a team atmosphere. Managers are not encouraging to employees. They seem unhappy and are not very good at setting expectations.
They are terrible with inventory and stocking their shelves.
The discount is great.

The job is pretty flexible in terms of shifts and hours. It was a good job when I was in school. The worst part about the job were the concrete floors. If you are on the floor you will be standing the whole time, so be prepared and bring shoes with a lot of cushion.

It was alright for awhile. Constantly had to lift more weight than what they really tell you. You have unpaid breaks that you punch out for. The time clock didn't work for me 3/4 of the time. There was never enough staff.

Productive workplace and fast paced

Very productive workplace and fast paced especially in the holiday season. Cashiers make state minimum wage ($10/h) which fits but when working on the sales floor you have to run up and cashier if needed, help in other areas you don’t work/run, and stock shelves which there is a separate team for. Overall I give 4 stars because you are not paid enough for all of the work and commitment you give the company and raises once every year.

Bad for your mental health
|
Poor management from all angles. Nothing is ever by fault of a manager, be prepared to be handed blame for any issue. Even ones from different departments. Managers bad attitudes rub off on a lot of employees. Cannot say enough about the bad attitudes drowning the store. Managers hand down an immeasurable amount of pressure on Team Leads and then wonder why they're always so overwhelmed and stressed. Expected to work with a team about 10 people smaller than need be at any given time while still having the same expectation of a full team. Management will make issues out of the smallest things but will never address real issues right in front of their faces. Don't expect to be treated like a human. Even regional manager won't address issues at hand. Honestly F this place.

Rude people and no advancement
|
Fleet farm is just a job. The people there were rude, didn't care about flexible schedules like they claimed and don't care about their workers.
Management never helped me with training or my jobs, they just threw me on heavy lifting jobs outside or had me work in other areas because staffing was low.
Had to go to upper management many times about coworkers telling me off or managers writing me up for things I didn't even do like leaving carts before I even came into work.
Customers were nice though most of the time.
