The ability to have a two-way conversation with your manager allows you to have a say in what is happening in our business. They are transparent and want to make sure we all have an idea of what's going on. What has kept me here for the past 7 years has been the Employee First attitude, which they have consistently upheld since I started. Caring about the company culture who are our employees are and what talent they have to offer is at the forefront of any conversation, along with always thinking of a new way to provide further education or how to develop their teams - from Designers to HQ members. It's really helped me to pave my own way on how my job has been formed. Annual reviews are consistent and really allow them to follow their employee on their journey and celebrate the strong efforts taken to go above and beyond during the year. MiniLuxe is a place of inclusivity and diverse backgrounds. The company makes every effort to honor and celebrate cultural traditions and holidays. They support and backup their teams and have a strong sense of integrity Did I mention 2 free services a month?! No company is perfect, when I started at MiniLuxe had trickle-down communication issues, and experienced growing pains when growing this business to new regions. There we quick decisions that did not always work out that could cause friction in operations. MiniLuxe is faced pace and moving quickly, with a growing company you need to be organized and willing to change. I have seen a significant turnaround in this company since I started. MiniLuxe has owned up to a lot of the company issues over the past few years, and I see a company that is standing tall and has made significant changes learning from past mistakes. The nail techs are nice people. The facilities are mostly clean. Hands down the people on the team - from headquarters to studio are what make this company truly different. I worked for 10 years at a very large, quickly growing company that marketed the celebration of their employees, pledged to promote from within, but it was mostly surface level, ultimately to please Wall Street. There were a lot of rose colored glasses worn at the leadership level, and a lot of favoritism. Take all of that, flip it and reverse it, and you have MiniLuxe. The CEO and Co-Founder have incredible vision, are inclusive at every level, and truly believe that the people are what make the company. They started with two pillars - clean and empowerment, and that is just what the company is today, 14 years later. I have never felt more alive at work, and have never felt more rewarded. At the end of the day, I am not exhausted, run down, defeated, put down, but excited to come to work tomorrow to continue the growth - for the brand, and for myself personally. The approach MiniLuxe takes with its people is rare, and if you work for MiniLuxe, you are lucky. I wouldn't call it a con, but there are some organizational gaps that the company is still learning and growing into. This is all part of the process of a small company looking to go big. Because of the size of the team, everyone contributes and has significant impact. -Strong leadership team that values passion for the business, while also encouraging work-life balance. -HQ has a very welcoming culture. Everyone is team-oriented, respectful, and understanding. You get the sense that your colleagues and management really care about you and want you to succeed. -Opportunity to work directly with upper management (CEO, CFO, etc) on daily basis. High visibility to all departments and projects across the company, so you can gain a lot of skills quickly. - Overall, I have not experienced many MiniLuxe specific cons. - Given the start-up culture & corresponding need to work quickly, make changes on the fly, and collaborate, working remotely has been somewhat of a challenge. The pay rate is unbeatable if you have been with the company for long time because they will reward you and give your raise for doing well. I loved working here before COVID. Hopefully it will get better with time. The way the company is dealing with COVID is not the best. Not even one month into a new world of changes and my coworkers are already being written up. Writing up does nothing but make employee feel frustrated. I understand this is to protect us and clients but we are doing everything to keep clean already! It is too much! Also your experience will depend on who your coworkers and managers are! My store manager is great. They always asks how I am doing and feeling about certain things. I think they tell upper management how we feel but they do not care or understand because they are not the ones working in frontlines!
