I worked for 2 weeks at Minted and have to quit. I have never experienced information overload at a level that made you want to literally vomit every day. This company expects you to truly be the designer, accountant, customer service, post office master, etc to the customer. You sit at the desk learning about freelance artists who design cards and the community votes on the design and whoever wins the artist's design is showcased on the card. The company truly overcharges for every single aspect of the card and the design of the website is maddening. The customer calls or chats in regarding their order or placing their order and you have to be able to navigate on a little MacBook and help the customer. You get 1 week of training which is not nearly enough to be able to do your job. Again I have worked for many call centers this one here was the worst. Yes, you work remotely but it was a lot of drama for a job that only lasted until Dec 21st. The pay was not nearly enough to deal with the drama of information overload. We were doing the job of designers and we had 0 experience being designers. Very high turnover and no they do not hire you after the holiday season ends which they call Q4. The first couple of years were excellent, even though the pay was below average. The people, culture, and colleagues made up for that. This is not really a creative role where you can create designs. Instructions will be given by the customer and you have to implement them. On average you have to do 20 proofs minimum per day.
