There are advantages to the company as in location from my current residence, benefits are a pro and con because if you pay into them they are pretty good for a single person but not for a family. The salary is good since it is a small company they can afford to pay you more if you are determined and willing to work hard. They do offer bonuses at the end of the year which is added on top of your salary which is nice around the holidays. Work and life balance is “okay” but they expect you to work more than the 40 hours even if you are salaried. Co-workers are great in multiple departments and the building is a beautiful new fully equipped technology hub. | The company culture needs a ton of work and in addition to this their management needs even more help. There are no set managers in multiple departments which makes it hard if you are looking for on-board training or guidance because they are tied up in meetings for days. You need to be self sufficient, independent, and have the ability to manage yourself. Deadlines are blurred due to projects being thrown at you from multiple angles from multiple departments. There is no feedback from employees good or bad. The owners need to be involved in almost every decision made. Benefits are terrible for families because of the amount you need to pay into the plan, dental insurance is awful, but vision is great. Some of the staff are the nicest people you will ever meet. I learned a lot in my long time at Mintek. There are not very many short-timers at this very profitable company. Good salary and fair bonuses. | Terrible corporate office environment...the worst. Those in the higher positions will make you question if you will have a job the next day, every day.
