Casual dress code. It's a fairly laid-back place to work and most management leaves you alone--good for people who like working independently. Very cliquey. Very poor communication. A fair amount of favoritism. A somewhat high turnover rate. Work is sporadic from time to time, which is fine and most people in this industry understand that, but the senior mgmt doesn't even send weekly or semi-weekly updates on when they will get a new project. Forget a daily update. It's like you're left floating out to sea with no life preserver. Most working adults have bills and other obligations that reoccur monthly, regardless of whether they are working. Unfortunately, the pay is far too low for you to be able to absorb the downtime from when there is no deal to work on. Exciting projects, trustworthy staff and support staff. Significant exposure to high ranking clients, top-tier technology, and a fantastic place for you to get things done and generate business. Long hours (sometimes 16-20 hrs a day when busy) with no positive feedback for good work, MD's often offsite/on vacation (2 days per week in office, at best), little direction, low salary with an arbitrary bonus based off non-present manager opinions for non-commission employees. Old School hierarchy with no growth past mid-level.
