Semi Decent Pay for the Area. You'll have a set schedule with paid holidays. Semi Decent Health/Dental insurance and after a year, you can get a 401k.
|
Health Insurance - Unless you pay for the top tier plan, you're looking at driving an hour to the nearest clinic.
Raises - Does 25cents a year sound promising? Because that's about all the raise you'll get.
Mandatory Overtime - They get more orders than they're set up for which means they can't keep up which means mandatory overtime for you (at this point in time). Which I guess could be a good thing...
No chance for job advancement - Unless the hiring manager for the company likes you. If they decide they don't want you for a position, they (might) send you an email stating they decided not to hire for the position. They also might not send it until you ask them about it. Who knows.

If you are a people person you will love it! I had no previous experience with quilting and now have made several quilts. Sherry Perry is an awesome leader and an awesome mentor for the retail world!
Loved working at MSQC.

Pay was always an issue, however, the benefits and insurance were good.
As someone that worked as a shop associate I would have to say the hardest part is not having proper scheduling when the shops are extremely busy with busses and extras coming that day.

Some people are nice and fun to work with. Company occasionally does things (employee events like Christmas party, Halloween costume contests, department potlucks, etc).
|
Poor pay, poor company infrastructure, poor benefits (little to no PTO/vacation time), miscommunication, no career advancements, gossip, drama, bullying, racist, sexist and offensive material and jokes are rampant here.

They definitely pay well compared to other jobs in the middle of nowhere.
|
You will probably become VERY stagnant in the company. Reviews happen YEARLY. So unless you’re wanting to stay for years and years, then maybe consider that.
