Most people are great co-workers who want to build something special. 2. Benefits aren’t bad, and in line with what most tech companies offer. Nothing special. 3. Company has good politics and does some good work in the field of promoting women in tech and other campaigns 4. They are really trying hard at making sure the company is diverse and hiring appropriately to meet those ends. 1. Don’t believe the hype. They will talk about cultural values but if you have an issue, prepare to be given lip service and nothing be done about the actual issue. 2. No budget to make things better. We are constantly told to innovate and make things better, but when we ask for the tools or people to do these things, there’s no money. 3. CEO much too involved in the day to day. There are horror stories about how involved the CEO is making day to day decisions on staff, marketing strategies, sales strategy, etc. he clearly doesn’t trust his teams and there’s a reason the org has been through so many VP of Sales, can’t keep a marketing team, and the general unhappiness. He loves to surround himself with ‘Yes’ men and women who won’t question or stand up against any of his (usually bad) decisions. 4. People are over-worked and stressed because backfilling positions is non-existent. They let people go (or people quit) and they don’t backfill. This leads to workloads increasing while they keep touting work/life balance that doesn’t exist. 5. Too many cliques. The old saying holds very true here, it’s not what you know, it’s who you know. Promotions are based on a vague and subjective "impact" goal that's vague enough to basically mean "i don't feel like it yet." - Astonishing level of management incompetence. There is no accountability; the rocks tumble on downhill until someone below them with enough integrity does something about it. Combined with below-inflation "raises," it breeds resentment among the team. - As others have said, it’s very much a boys’ club in my org. private:mixpanel https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=406910 Mar 26th, 2024 12:00AM Open Open Mixpanel Run - They managed to hire some great talent - They do not know how to keep said great talent - Management does not allow you to negotiate salaries even during promotions, and tries to guilt trip and manipulate you into accepting the lowest offer - Strategies are ambiguous - It takes nearly a full quarter to receive your quota/confirm books, which affects the planning for everyone down the line - Lacking accountability and analysis on the failure of initiatives. If they had listened to people on the ground, they would have been able to avoid a lot of wrong decisions and not have to play catch up - Severely understaffed - Head of People running multiple functions including sales and marketing. This is not a consulting role, people make up the company and you cannot cut cost on people and make it "lean" so that one role takes on the job of multiple people. Company strategy, morale, and growth is suffering greatly. People are trickling out and they are not backfilling. Watch out. It has perks, like a sabbatical after 4 years and a holiday weeks shutdown. No matching 401K There is a lot of favoritism + boys club feel. They will promote friends before anyone else. The product is not so hot. Competitors are now even doing better. COVID layoffs were brutal, only to receive a government grant. There is not a lot of trust in leadership and constant lies about financial transparency. Onboarding is two weeks and very minimal, Sink or swim mentality. There is little room to fail.
