Learned alot abou the internal workings of a company Company is unreliable. Too many layoffs every year. They started off with a great vision, but now it seems they cut corners -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 3.0 1125185 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Open Oct 9th, 2023 08:33AM Oct 9th, 2023 08:33AM MM.LaFleur
private:mmlafleur https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1125185 Oct 1st, 2023 12:00AM Open Open MM.Lafleur Stylist Washington, DC Disappointed Good mission. Women-owned and women-run company. Kind CEO Decent health benefits Time off can be coordinated and flexible Too many to count, but below are a few: - Preferential treatment for the HQ employees - Favoritism (only those who are friends with certain people in decision-making positions get promoted) - DC staff is low in HQ’s priority list. Their needs are neither met nor taken into consideration despite consistently being the highest performing location - No path for growth for stylist, only empty promises - Raises are few and fare between and you have to beg for them - The stock room should be a fire hazard -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 APPROVE 0.0 2.0 4.0 3.0 2.0 2.0 1.0 3.0 1125185 Open The CEO has a great vision and cares for the company and the people. Unfortunately, that is not the story with everyone else. They need to really analyze who in HQ is the problem and work around it. Favoritism must stop if you want the company to succeed. Give your employees — all of them — opportunities for growth and support them in that journey. Most importantly, listen to them and pay them more. The heart of this company are the stylists and their comments are sadly brushed under the rug. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 4.0 Open Oct 3rd, 2023 07:25AM Oct 3rd, 2023 07:25AM MM.LaFleur

private:mmlafleur https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1125185 Aug 23rd, 2023 12:00AM Open Open MM.Lafleur Stylist New York, NY Fake empathy and micro aggression The location and access to downtown dc where you’ll want to find another job They like every other company after 2020 decided to “be active” in DE&I and company culture. This company says they care and promote online that they care but do not. They had this survey where they showed the results of their diversity and promised to expand their reach (still active on their site today). Ironically soon afterwards the majority of the African-American employees either quit or was fired. If you look this company up you think they support all women but they do not. Several complaints from African American employees who worked there over several years at different times all have complaints of micro aggression and racism stemming from MM’s leadership. Worst of all the CEO Sarah acts completely oblivious like she hasn’t had these complaints from her past African American associates but sweeps it under the rug and continues to act like these issues don’t exist within her company under the control of the people she put in control and continues to promote in higher positions of power. There’s a reason the turnover is so high especially in their DC market where the staff once was once all people of color. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 0.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 1125185 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Open Aug 24th, 2023 04:41AM Aug 24th, 2023 04:41AM MM.LaFleur
private:mmlafleur https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1125185 Jul 27th, 2023 12:00AM Open Open MM.Lafleur Showroom Stylist Lesson Learned: If a firm cares about your professional development they will invest in you! Good pay! Best version of retail: Client comes to you and you have downtime to get things done. This place has kept the same white women in leadership positions for YEARS. They are very reluctant to change when it comes to diversity adding anything valuable to corporate leadership. Under the guise of this firm being Asian-woman owned and operated, I noticed that was used as an excuse for a lot of DEI. At MM, DEI is a joke! The most diversity was at the showroom level, and they never made any real attempts to invest in our growth in the company. -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 NEGATIVE -1.0 DISAPPROVE 0.0 2.0 4.0 2.0 1.0 4.0 1.0 1.0 1125185 Open Diversify the corporate offices, and see what value comes in through your showroom and your sales. Don't lead your employees on with empty promises for opportunity when you have no intention of upholding your end. 0.0 [] PART_TIME No No 2.0 Open Jul 27th, 2023 01:49PM Jul 27th, 2023 01:49PM MM.LaFleur
