Work from home to avoid having to associate with toxic people in person I have slowly seen the transition from the old MomentFeed to the new MomentFeed. The new culture is sad compared to the old which was an awesome collaborative culture. It is being ruined by new leadership who are unable to adapt to the 21st century leadership and strategic standards (or maybe even 20th century leadership standards for that matter). The CEO is stuck in the past with his micromanagement and controlling style - one can see how the leadership members succumb to everything he says without having any opinion of their own. He decides things and asks for opinions pretending he wants to listen- but he already knows what he is going to pursue in his head. Also if you are not a from his old Company (Velocify)- your voice does not matter. He has hired a ridiculous amount of people from his old company as if it is some kind of template for success. Each leadership person from that Company is rude and condescending, runs on their ego and came in without any respect towards people who have been here and loyal to MomentFeed. The CEO will always hear their opinion over everyone else's and has no respect for people who actually built this Company. He does not seem to realize there would be no MomentFeed for him to run if it wasn't for all the old MomentFeeders he seems to disregard on a daily basis. Each good review below is someone from his old company. They are all "yes men" who cannot think for themselves. Instead of rewarding and promoting people, he hires for random not- needed positions such as "Chief of Staff'. Apparently we are the government? ' Leadership has no actual idea of the culture. The CEO copy/ pastes values from Amazon and big tech companies without actually practicing these himself. He had meetings with employees to pretend to get input, but it was obvious he already decided what the values should be before listening to anyone. It was all for show. There is absolutely no diversity on the Leadership team and goes to show how backward this Company is and why it won't thrive. Pretty sad during this time we currently live in. There is a happiness survey that is sent out every quarter as if that is an actual measure of people's happiness. What Leadership doesn't realize is that we all talk about it and no one is truly honest on it. The CEO points out anyone he feels is a detractor on all hands meetings and recommends that people who are unhappy should leave the company. Yep that happens- so who would be honest? The funniest part is watching new people join with happy faces and slowly seeing those smiles turn upside down as they realize what actually goes on here. This is the place to be if you are good at the following: - arrogance - stepping over others - making others feel small -you worked at the CEO’s old company Let me also be clear - every positive review you see below - is posted by his special Velocify marketing team that he specifically requests to post these reviews !!! Used to have great perks like commuter benefits, office events, beach location. The leadership team lacks talent. Our biggest competitor is publicly traded, whereas we are run more like a mom & pop shop. The company was sold, which you can read about in TechCrunch, for a low price considering the company is over a decade old and raised about half the amount of the sale price Not great for us long-timers. I think that should say everything you need to know about the leadership team. Diversity is really poor. You'll see prior good reviews because the CEO requested that new hires write a review on Glassdoor after they were hired, but since the company no longer has an HR department this is not being continued. MomentFeed has experienced several changes since the pandemic. The company laid off several valuable employees and some individuals were laid off not due to their performance but because management did not like them. It is the CEOs goal to replace everyone in the company with people from his previous company which resulted in a tense atmosphere at MomentFeed. The company does not have an HR department and has hired several out of state individuals without knowing the rules and regulations in those states. Furthermore, the company continues to create unnecessary positions such as Chief of Staff just so the CEO could hire his friend. There are monthly meetings to discuss core values but the employees are never listened to. During my time at MomentFeed, several managers have left which has resulted in their departments becoming lazy but the executives won't restructure the company to ensure that too much work doesn't fall on one department. Lastly, the company closed their office and became fully remote, but did not give any of the money saved on rent back to their employees. There are no stipends for the employees and each employee had to furnish their home office themselves or take items from the old office to use at home. The out of state individuals had disgusting items shipped to them that were sitting in storage and not sanitized.
