private:monnit https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1305588 Jun 29th, 2020 12:00AM Open Open Monnit Anonymous South Salt Lake, UT Management mentality is stuck in startup mode For me, work is rarely the same and varies enough from day-to-day to keep me happy. My direct manager is great and is very knowledgeable on the topics I bring to him. I can rely on him to help him when I get stuck. Monnit has great potential to be huge, but doesn't know how to get there. They have a high turn over rate due to low pay and frustrating managers. The company makes good money, but continues to low ball employees with an excuse of being a startup, even though they have been around more than 10 years and make Millions in profits. During COVID19 we were not allow to work remotely even though we easily could. Management loves to watch over the employees and constantly monitor if you are working. No trust. -1.0 NEGATIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 0.0 NO_OPINION 3.0 3.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 2.0 3.0 1305588 Open Brad is a likable guy and knows how to startup a company, but we need a CEO who knows how to take us to the next level. private:monnit https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1305588 Aug 29th, 2019 12:00AM Open Open Monnit Anonymous Employee South Salt Lake, UT forever startup - cool technology - great place to learn iot - they'll hire anyone. - low pay - no fun at this tech company. work/life balance is not great here. - no flexibility. attendance taken - even at work parties. if you are late, family emergency, it will be taken out of your PTO. - work culture is terrible. No socializing on work hours. work like robots from 8am-5pm - CEO micro-manages every dept. Makes up so many rules to feel in control. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL -1.0 DISAPPROVE 8.0 1.0 1.0 1.0 2.0 1.0 1.0 1305588 Open Skilled Employees with actual degrees & experience are treated as if they're easy to replace. Sales dept will get all the praise when the company is doing good, but when sales are beyond low, every single department will be punished. Why?!? This place has potential... but needs a CEO that can take the company to the next level. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 2.0 Mar 22nd, 2021 06:51PM Mar 22nd, 2021 06:51PM Monnit

He is a results driven person with solid history of great companies under him. Flexible with what drives employees. Lots of interesting customers Willing to adjust to changes. Lower pay than similar positions. No PTO or Sick time. Constantly changing procedures. Its gotten drastically better since I started. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 APPROVE 4.0 4.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 3.0 4.0 1305588 Open 0.0 [] REGULAR No Yes 2.0 Mar 22nd, 2021 06:51PM Mar 22nd, 2021 06:51PM Monnit

private:monnit https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1305588 Apr 13th, 2017 12:00AM Open Open Monnit United States USA What to truely consider. The idea behind the product is solid and the people working to create, maintain, and support the product are amazing. Your feedback on the product is valued and appreciated. There is no support for continuing education and benefits are not going to be forthcoming and what is given is minimal. There is little to no ability to make this company a career choice if you are looking for a secure and fair income as a programmer. The heads of departments do not have run of their departments and are not able to make choices that are needed for their varying departments. Instead, the CEO micromanages everything to their disadvantage. -1.0 NEGATIVE 0.0 NEUTRAL 10.0 2.0 5.0 3.0 1.0 1.0 3.0 1305588 Open Allow the heads of department to actually head their departments. Yes, the sales department keeps the company going with clients , but if the other departments continue to be seen as disposable and not as good they are never going to be able to keep any developer, programmer, or fulfillment specialist that is worth it. Let the people who know how to best keep their direct employees cared for be in charge of them. The micromanaging will only hurt the company in the end and you already have amazing people in place who know how to keep their departments running smoothly. By stepping back you will allow them to flourish and the company will only grow because of it. 0.0 [] REGULAR No No 0.0 Mar 22nd, 2021 06:51PM Mar 22nd, 2021 06:51PM Monnit
private:monnit https://www.glassdoor.com?employer_id=1305588 Jun 9th, 2016 12:00AM Open Open Monnit Management Consultant Salt Lake City, UT Management Consultant The CEO, Brad Walters, has a solid win under his belt, giving him confidence and the ability to self-fund. The solution is innovative, and may help define the future of "Internet of Things". The company is in its teenage phase...making millions...but not yet at a critical size to hire numerous deep specialists for all of the areas of interest...so the solid team of builders that got the company to this point are stretched and highly multitasking between responsibilities. Join this team if you want a high paced, charged entrepreneurial environment, and if you are a self starter that can get your job done and help others with little or no training. 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 POSITIVE 1.0 5.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 4.0 1305588 Open Continue to reward performers and remove non-performers to grow the good culture you've already established. 0.0 [] CONTRACT No Yes 1.0 Mar 22nd, 2021 06:51PM Mar 22nd, 2021 06:51PM Monnit
