No. You will not be happy here unless you are a man and you are a push over with female management. Political BS runs this college. Don't be fooled. Fierce gossip and terrible favoritism amongst favorites-trust me. Female favorites too. Don't get on their bad side or you will be given every dirty job or worst job there to see if they can get you to quit. One campus favored over the other. You can find a better job for less pay and you will have done yourself a huge favor. PT works equally as hard as FT so be prepared. Benefits are not the world. If you value your sanity and health-look elsewhere. Way too many females running the place. Spiteful and disrespectful. Vengeful as well towards other female employees they do not like-BIG BROTHER ALWAYS WATCHING!

I loved this job so much. I wish I could go back! I worked in the college hall at the front desk. Such a good atmosphere, the managers keep you updated and never leave you in the dark on information. I absolutely love it. If corona didn't happen, I would gladly still be here!

Lack of Leadership/Vision, No Respect for Faculty

MCCC used to be a great place to work under previous leadership. The College respected the arts and academics in general. Now, the college is basically a vocational school. The leadership has no vision, and their messaging is often vague and confusing. No ability to communicate effectively with faculty/staff. No respect for faculty/staff. Poor pay relative to other community colleges in the PA area.

Montco is ok but don't be surprised when you get hired for a job and you end up doing something completely different instead. There is no room to grow and someone has to die before any positions are open and even then they will open them as part time. They are also very top heavy with the number of administrators and fail to hire appropriate numbers of support staff so everyone ends up doing the work of 3 people.
