Yes sometimes feel little stressed but overcome it quickly . No issues with work Only issue is family settled in New Jersey with business. They can't move here .so I want to be in NJ keep doing my work and stay close to my family in my off time . Full freedom to manage property .No issues Have to stay alone . Unfortunately management was bad, I was handed a page of written instructions on how to do my tasks, and when it wasn't done 100% correctly I was yelled at, yet management never took the time to SHOW me how to do it or make sure what was typed on the sheet was actually still currently accurate. Last & final straw was when I had an emergency and called everyone I could to relieve my shift so I could leave and no one responded or acknowledged that something occurred where I needed to leave, when shift change came I bolted out the door and got yelled at for leaving abruptly. The guest are amazing u meet people like from France 🇫🇷. U have the zydeco bicycle people that come every year . The crawfish festival weekend . The Gm is very good to her staff she makes the staff a birthday cake on there birthday of there liking. We are a TEAM . What is the most stressful part about working at the company? That housekeepers need 2 days off instead of 1 day . When we do not have enough housekeeper to do our job plus help with laundry it gets stressful to the max . The most stressful thing is when staff does not show up on a Friday or Sunday its stressful cause those two days is when we need the TEAM .. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? We laugh .we have words with each other but we get along the most part . We are Cajun so we like to eat . And the GM she can cook ..she puts up a tree for Christmas she used to keep it up all year and decorate it for every holiday. The crawfish one was the best What is a typical day like for you at the company? Typical day for me is alot different then what the other housekeeper do . I do the jobs that are on the side of cleaning ur rooms and hallways . That has allowed for a mutual schedule that benefits the management/employees as well as company clients. It has been a wonderful experience to date! private:motel6 https://www.indeed.com/cmp/motel-6-__-studio-6/reviews Mar 31st, 2024 08:57PM Open Open Open Motel 6 / Studio 6 Front Desk Agent South Bend, IN Laid back management A typical day you normally do a shift change with your coworkers if you're at the front desk, which lasts about 5 to 10 minutes, sometimes shorter or sometimes a little longer depending on what has happened throughout the day, sometimes there are already people awaiting check-in at 3 PM if you work second shift, so come in prepared to work And guest normally come in waves like typically from 3 to 5 expect gas and from six to about 8 o'clock you normally have a lot of downtime and then 8 to 11 there's sometimes a rush of people and then sometimes their days where you just don't have a lot of people that check in so you go there and sit in the office or at the night and just give service to the customers that are already there which sometimes they need their tiles replaced toilet paper and things like that. If you like having laid-back management, But also management and ownership that micromanages you on the low then this is the perfect place. If you build up some trust with the ownership and management, the more secure your job will be if you don't you could be Fired very quickly. They are a franchise owned so keep that in mind as well overall it's a decent job. I did it for 2 going on 3 years. The only thing that I say is a really big negative is that there is no chance to advance, and there are no chances that you'll be getting raises. When I first started, though that wasn't so because I got promoted from that manager and a raise very quickly until he was fired, and they Dismantled the hierarchy he had And haven't given Any raises sense, even after workers that we've had for a while went above and beyond doing multiple jobs just to be expendable.
