Horrible place to work, company is a joke
|
This is actually one of the most toxic work environments you could possibly be in. There is no such thing as a typical day at work. Management has no idea what they are doing and makes decisions based on quick reactions usually due to lack of finances. There is zero budget to work with and most of finances available go to whatever passion project the CEO wants to do that has nothing to do with advancing the company. The people that work there are extremely manipulative (there are a few gems but hard to find or trust). I had a boss come to me and tell me I could get a raise if I worked to help fire another employee that he was annoyed with and didn't want to work there anymore. The turn over is awful and people get fired or leave monthly. There is no workplace culture other than to sit be quiet and do what management says. They talk a great game but there is no action behind their plans. You will waste tons of time working on projects just to be told that they are no longer going to be doing anything with it. Sad part is the company had a lot of potential but upper management is running the organization into the ground. The most enjoyable part of this company was people you met that come into the facility they have in their HQ.

Great co-workers, but lacks real leadership
|
The company has great potential and a great staff of talented people. Its a trusted name in the supplement industry, with a top-notch product offering. The leadership, however, makes reactionary decisions and is constantly chasing a quick sale. It spends almost no money on marketing of its products and values social media even less. It really has a chance of being an industry leader, but not until it gets out of its own way.

Great company ~ some Exec management issues

I really enjoyed working at MusclePharm. They had struggles at the upper management levels. This did create chaos but they were relatively open in communicating what was happening and where they were going with these changes.

MusclePharm Distribution Center is a fast-paced warehouse that distributes health supplements all over the world. Orders typically come in heavy on Mondays, and begin shipping out throughout each week. Each employee is trained in all aspects of the job i.e. fork lift operations, picking, quality control, shipping/receiving, cycle counts, and occasional re-working of items. End of months, quarters, and years will be the extremes. During these times shipping becomes very heavy, as the company is trying to push out what ever they can, and hours can range to as late as 11 pm at night.
