I had to hear it from the employees themselves. The work culture is pretty toxic as well with long-term employees working hard being promised raises/promotions only to be thrown out. Instead of actually encouraging / cultivating a strong team they would much rather maintain a toxic workplace and mediocrity. They also took away employee clover tips not too long ago before the pandemic started with the promise of benefits/more pay but that was a complete lie. A few have inspired me to rise in the ranks of MyBurger and push myself to develop new skills and leadership skills. The newest MyBurger-Richfield GM unfortunately, takes the cake in terms of the poorest quality leader I have experienced within the company. They have caused more people to leave the location than stay and develop into a strong team. If you want to join MyBurger, do not join the Richfield team. Awesome team (not including General Manger), and lots of opportunity to advance and grow with the company. Fantastic company to work for due to the fact that we are a local family owned and operated business, and the morals that have been established from day one, are still what drive each and every decision that is made. My Burger is a 'people first' company and we like to empower our management team to make decisions based on compassion, understanding, and well being of each and every employee. Our product never suffers because, at the end of the day, the work/life balance that we can provide keeps everyone happy and up-beat! Happy people cook delicious food, and give great customer service... that is something we can stand behind! I've been here four years now and see no end in sight. I would HIGHLY recommend working at My Burger to anyone just starting out their career as a cook/cashier/shift lead, all the way up to veteran restaurant management. Work/life balance.
