Your Choice To Have Integrity While Providing a Service or Just to Make Money:

Most of the time, believing you are helping people and learning how to leverage sales is a great skill to cultivate. However, expect this position to be one based on numbers and craftiness and less on actual IT skill or technical aptitude. One of the reasons I left was because of the integrity of other employees. I couldn't keep a straight face when I wasn't succeeding at sales while being honest while others were using less than ethical practices to extract money, although many were college students struggling to make ends meet so I completely understand their predicament. But, that's no excuse to deliberately or even ignorantly misrepresent software/hardware underpinnings on a computer to a potential paying client. That was a negative of the company culture, where there was no enforced ethical guideline to follow. Anything went" when I was there considering misrepresentations and omissions of technological facts was commonplace among employees with operational level agreements (OLAs) presented in meetings. Hopefully they have changed this by now.

"Certification" was being used as a weapon to spearhead credibility, but it is a loose word that can or cannot actually mean anything in the real world. Fear was a tactic used to "get people to take positive action". People do this sort of thing all the time, especially at auto shops where they see the most minor issue, and suggest a whole vehicle overhaul. While legally permitted, it is not exactly ethical. A business is indeed responsible to shareholders, and struggling college students indeed need opportunity in Utah County.
Is this assessment unfair?
As someone A+, Project+, and now ITIL Certified, I can say it is an extremely fair assessment of the situation. These certifications actually matter. Every client I come into contact with in my new area of employment is my brother, and not a potential sale. I would hope Myfastpc now treats its clients the same, and they can certainly clarify that they do. However, it takes one to work there when I did to make this evaluation.

Hire individuals who have an actual IT background and/or a college degree and see what happens to both sales figures and integrity. Then ask yourself why your customers trust you more if you are making less money.

Worried about your turnover? Don't treat your sales team like tools. There is more to employee satisfaction that the occasional pizza day. Communicate pay upfront. Nowhere does it say you only get your commission when you make more commission than hourly. That is wrong not to advertise. I left as soon as I found out, as did at least 5 others.

Every employee is invested in each others success. An organization is only as strong as its weakest link and My Fast PC does everything to ensure that they foster growth and set you up for success. Fantastic work environment. Great management. Its a company the genuinely cares for and values it employees. Fantastic benefits! The coworkers are the best. Everyone is anxiously engaged in a good cause and the energy on the floor is extremely contagious. I would be lying if I didn't say that there are days that I literally cant wait to go into work!

Obviously no job is perfect and there is always room for improvement. My only complaint would be that sometimes there isn't sufficient staff to support the needs of their clients and there could be more employees to help with the work load.

Company was going through a rough patch, and as soon as I was hired they told me that I shouldn't come into training because they basically had lost their office due to a problem with a sister company they were working with.
They proceeded to change the location 20 miles north of the original office and had us all come in to train. After 2 days on the call floor it turns out that most of the calls are more like cold calls and not what they said about "warm leads". The old people most of the time dont know what they are signing up for on the form and when you call they get angry at you for bothering them. The better salesman left before the job even started.
The work is generally tedious and once you actually get someone on the phone interested in the product, the market is so saturated with scammers that people tend believe that you are a scammer.
Synopsis: Leads are basically cold, managers work hard to make it better than it really is but you cant turn crap into gold. Owner rarely present, but everyone seems to love him. Cant keep sales people at the company because of the nature of the sale and how they advertise it.
Additionally they let me make my schedule at first, but because other people couldn't adhere to theirs they made a different schedule for me because of them.

This is an excellent place to work. The culture in the office is great. Everyone is very friendly towards one another, even though everyday is a competition. The benefits to this job are great as well. They are pretty flexible with your schedule and are understanding when things come up that are out if your control. Free lunch every Friday and the pay is GREEAAAT. if you are in the top 5-10 performers you will make good money. Also, probably most importantly, the CEO Ryan is by far the nicest boss that you will ever have. He genuinely cares about his employees and it shows. Can't say enough about this place.

The job itself is rather monotonous. It is a sales job so you do have to deal with a good amount of rejection and at times you do have to be pushy. There is a lot of turnover with employees because some people just aren't meant for sales jobs, but if you are going to try to get into sales this is a good place to get started.

My fast pc has been one of the best jobs I've ever had, the management is great and always willing to help in any way they can. The co workers also friendly and dont sick to be around. I have truly enjoyed my time at my fast pc. The only reason I left was to move out of state to be closer to my family

No real cons to this job other then its sales. It has its ups and downs and the occasional old person that has no clue what they are doing on the computer.

The culture is Phenomenal! Everyone is so upbeat and just feels more like a family. Management is amazing and always has your best interest in mind.
