Good culture formerly, unsure of current conditions

Prospera used to have a very friendly culture and good work-life balance. But politics and and infighting within the executive team post-merger, combined with mass layoffs in 2020 (which were handled very poorly) really soured the memories of time spent there. Unsure how much of that 2020 executive team remains today.

Great knowledgeable team, work-life balance and management.

I enjoyed my time at Prospera. I worked from home and they have the systems and support required to adequately perform the tasks and troubleshoot potential problems.
They are a great team, willing to share their knowledge and facilitate success.
The only con is that it was a temp position and my responsibilities were capped by my qualifications.

Toxic upper management
|
Prospera CU has grown from the result of mergers of previous credit unions that were failing. As a result many of the upper management from the previous CU are still there. The last merger with Westminster CU was a disaster. Any management that were respected and intelligent, left early in the merger process. After the merger many staff, mostly from the original CU were let go. Very poor management continues to make leadership decisions that are questionable. Toxic environment, limited career opportunity

Many issues led to an environment that is very stressful. Technical issues, multiple systems requiring numerous passwords, reliance on 3rd party service and product providers.

Providing members with financial advice was best part of the job

Poor technology, poor training, multiple priorities, lack of senior management presence, fostered a toxic environment
