Unique and novel technology, good place to work.

For context: I am one of the first employees of NPM, and this summer I will have been with the company for four years.
Inclusivity.
All our projects are meticulously planned, and all stakeholders are expected to provide input. At conclusion, the evaluation does not only include technical results, but also what was managed well and what could have been done better.
Transparency.
About quarterly, an all-employee meeting is held summarizing the full state of the company, including progress on all aspects of our technology, finances, HR, quality and regulatory measures, IP, etc.
Flexibility
Adjusting work hours to avoid traffic is the norm. Working from home is frequent, and virtual meetings are pretty much standard. The company cares about the quality of work, not where it’s done.
Fun times
On a regular basis small company trips are organized to balance the admittedly pretty full work schedule. Oakland Zoo, Ferry Building, Pin Ball Museum are some examples.
Ground breaking work
It’s a start-up. We are doing something that has never been done before, and breakthroughs and successes are cause for celebration.

As an intern I felt very included and was able to participate in company meetings and have my voice heard, and I felt that I was given ample opportunity to have a real impact on the company. The company culture is amazing, this is truly a fun place to work that values its employees and feels like a family.
