The county needs to evaluate their employee structure. The lack of trust in the employees creates a negative environment and causes strain with all departments. There is a lot of talk about flexibility and reducing commuting, but minimal opportunity for flexible or remote work schedules. The county will continue to loose quality employees to other organizations that either offer better pay and/or the flexibility that dual working families need. HR needs to clearly communicate with employees.
